세계화에 대응한 한국 직업교육훈련 시스템의 발전 방향

Developmental Directions for the Vocational Education and Training System in South Korea under Globalization : Implications for Human Resource Development Policy and Practice

이 연구의 목적은 세계화가 한국의 직업교육훈련 시스템에 미치는 영향을 종합적 문헌 연구를 통해 인적자원개발 관점에서 탐구하는 것이다. 세계화는 국가 차원의 직업교육훈련 시스템의 개편을 촉진하여 국가 경제 전반에 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 점에서 매우 중요한 현상이라고 할 수 있다. 그래서 이 연구는 한국의 국가 직업교육훈련 시스템의 발전 양상과 이와 관련된 세계화의 영향을 체계적으로 고찰한다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 한국의 국가 직업교육훈련 시스템의 향후 발전 방향을 논의한다. 마지막으로 국가 경제의 지속적인 발전을 위해 인적자원개발 정책 입안자 및 현장 실무자들이 세계화가 한국의 직업교육훈련 시스템에 미치는 영향에 어떻게 대처해야 할지에 관한 함의를 제시한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of globalization on the vocational education and training (VET) system in South Korea from the perspective of human resource development (HRD) by conducting a comprehensive literature review. Globalization is a very critical issue because it can have an influence on the national economy by reforming the VET system. Thus, this paper systematically indicates the evolution of the VET system in South Korea and the influence of globalization on the VET system. Furthermore, the future directions for the VET system in South Korea are discussed. Finally, what HRD policymakers and professionals should do to cope with the influence of globalization on the VET system to maintain the development of the national economy of South Korea is suggested.
