십대 청소년의 범죄피해 두려움에 대한 교정복지실천 개입방안 연구

A Study on the Correctional Welfare Practice Interventions on the Fear of Crime among Teenagers

본 연구의 목적은 십대 청소년의 범죄피해 두려움의 영향 요인이 무엇인지 살펴보고 그 근거를 토대로 교정복지실천 개입방안을 모색하고자 한다. 2014년도 전국범죄피해조사 자료 중 십대 청소년 1,161명을 대상으로 SAS 9.4와 HLM 6.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 십대 청소년의 범죄피해 두려움이 평균 2.75점이었다. 둘째, 청소년의 일반적 범죄두려움에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 개인수준에서 성별, 취약성인식이었다. 즉, 여자 청소년이 남자 청소년보다 일반적 범 죄두려움이 높게 나타났다. 그리고 청소년의 취약성 인식 정도가 높을수록 일반적 범죄두려움이 높아졌다. 셋째, 십대 청소년의 범죄피해 두려움을 감소시키기 위해 사회복지사는 ‘안전의 욕구’에 관심을 갖고 지역사회 경찰관계자와 함께 범 죄피해 실태에 근거하여 성별과 취약성 인식을 고려한 예방 및 대처방법에 대해 체계적인 교육과 정보제공, 가정-학교-지역사회가 연계하여 잠재적 범죄예방 효과의 극대화를 위해 ‘사회적 안전망’이 조성될 수 있도록 교정복지실천 개입이 요구된다.

The purposes of this study were to identify factors influencing the general fear of crime of teenagers and search for Correctional Welfare Practice intervention plans based on the grounds. For analysis, the investigator sampled 1,161 teenagers from the data of 2014 National Crime Victimization Survey and employed SAS 9.4 and HLM 6.0 for multilevel modeling analysis. The major findings were as follows: first, the adolescents general fear of crime mean 2.75 points. Second, their general fear of crime was influenced by gender, educational background, and perception of vulnerability at the individual level. That is, girls had greater general fear of crime than boys. When their educational background was lower, their general fear of crime grew higher. Their higher perception level of vulnerability led to their greater general fear of crime. Third, social workers need to take interest in safety need and provide systematic education and information about the actual state, prevention, and coping of crime damage according to gender and perception of vulnerability in conjunction with the police officials in the community in order to reduce the fear of crime among teenagers. Families, schools and the community should work together to create an atmosphere for Social Safety Nets” for the maximization of potential crime prevention effects by Correctional Welfare Practice intervention.
