A Study on the Demand Analysis of Korean Forwarders for Shipping Services

Although the Korean manufacturing companies are steadily expanding their businesses to the overseas markets, most of them experience difficulties in expanding their businesses in the local markets due to the lack of professional logistics services. This is because it is difficult to find professional logistics services in the overseas markets. The global competitiveness of Korean exporters is no longer dependent on he technology or cost but depends on the efficiency of the supply chain. Especially in the shipping, port and international logistics fields, forwarders are important factor in securing competitive advantage in the complex supply chain system. This study has conducted a questionnaire survey to the Korean companies who expanded their businesses over the world in order to find out the demand of the Korean professional forwarders.
