Plastic pollution in the form of microplastics has been observed in many parts of the world ocean. They are known to interact with biota on the individual level, e.g. through ingestion, but their population-level impacts are largely unknown. One potential mechanism for microplastic-induced alteration of pelagic ecosystems is through the introduction of hard-substrate habitat to ecosystems where it is naturally rare. The dynamics of hard-substrate-associated organisms may be important to understanding the ecological impacts of oceanic microplastic pollution. Plastic abandoned in the land becomes a microplastic, which directly damages the marine life. In addition, human endangered seafoods contaminated with environmental hormones and plastics endanger human health. However, the issue of garbage patch has a property that can not be solved by the principles of international environmental law and the efforts of specific countries. Therefore, there is a need for multilateral, independently implementable environmental agreements that specifically treat the production, use, and disposal of plastics. And also, to reduce plastic pollution, it will be necessary to reduce the use of unnecessary plastics, and to increase the recycling of plastics, and to increase the replacement ratio with relatively environmentally friendly bioplastics. The purpose of this study aims to suggest solutions for environmental problems in related to the garbage patch.
