바깥놀이 시간의 언어적 상호작용을 통한 전통놀이의 재구성이 유아의 창의성 증진에 미치는 효과

The Creative Effects of Traditional Outdoor Play with Physical Expression Based On Children s Discussion

본 연구에서는 바깥놀이에서의 전통놀이를 통한 다양한 신체표현 활동이 유아의 창의성 향상에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울시에 소재한 S유치원에 재원하고 있는 만 5세 유아 44명이다. 44명의 유아를 무선 선발한 후 각각 22명씩 실험집단과 통제집단에 무선 배치하였으며, 이 중 실험집단에는 바깥놀이에서 유아들과 토의를 통해 독특한 사고를 창안하며 재구성한 전통놀이를 실시하였고, 통제집단에게는 전통놀이를 통한 기본 신체 활동을 실시하였다. 전체적인 연구결과를 살펴보면 바깥놀이 시간의 전통놀이에서 유아들과의 토의를 통해 독특한 사고를 창안하며 재구성한 다양한 신체표현 활동을 실시한 실험집단 유아는 통제집단 유아에 비해 언어영역에 있어 유창성에서 (P〈.000), 융통성에서 (P〈.000 ), 독창성에서 (P〈.004), 상상력에서 (P〈.006) 의 통계적 차이를 나타냈다. 본 연구를 통해 전통놀이를 다양하게 재구성하기 위한 과정 속에서 교사와 유아들 간의 토의활동을 통한 활발한 상호작용 경험이 이루어짐을 알 수 있었다. 또한 그러한 언어적 상호작용을 통한 다양한 전통놀이 활동의 재구성이 창의성 발달의 적기인 유아기의 창의성 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of traditional outdoor play experiences on children s creativity based on children s discussion to make creative thinking. The research subjects were 44 five-year-olds who were divided into test and control groups (22 and 22children, respectively). The test group met twice a week for six weeks from June 2016 to July 2016 for a total of 12 times and played traditional outdoor games based on discussions with picture books, while the control group followed regular curriculum and outdoor activity schedules. From this research a children s creativity measurement scale was developed by Lee(2003) to measure children s creativity. Data collected was coded and analyzed using SPSS 20.0 to test whether or not outdoor traditional play experiences positively impact children s creativity. The results of this research are as follows: First, traditional outdoor play, based on the children s discussion, had a significant impact on the development of the children s creativity based on following subcategories of creativity: uniqueness, imagination, flexibility, fluency in creative development. The results of this research imply that traditional outdoor play allow children to engage with peers, and demonstrate an impact on the development of children s creativity. Therefore, the positive evaluation of traditional outdoor play with children s discussion from this research provides opportunities to actively review the role of traditional outdoor play with children s discussion in relation to the development of an education curriculum in early childhood education settings. In summation, this research shows meaningful results in providing initial resources to help those in early childhood education establish traditional outdoor play with children s discussion to develop open minds and divergent thinking skills as a form of children s creativity.
