자타카의 5세 누리과정과의 연계성 및 내용 분석

Jātaka s Connectivity with Nuri Curriculum for Five Year Olds and Content Analysis

본 연구의 목적은 동화로서 자타카(Jātaka)를 분석하고 5세 누리과정의 영역별 연계성 및 세부 내용을 탐색하고 유아교육 현장 적용에 대한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전문가 패널 30인을 대상으로 자타카의 유아교육 현장 적용에 대한 적합성을 검증하였으며, 최종 선정된 자타카 39편을 동화의 줄거리와 육바라밀의 수행 덕목을 중심으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 주요 등장인물 중 의인화 된 동물이 49.4%로 가장 많은 것으로 조사되었으며, 인물은 38.8%인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유아교육적 활용이 가능한 보시바라밀은 10편이며, 지계바라밀 5편, 인욕바라밀 3편, 정진바라밀 6편, 선정바라밀 5편, 지혜바라밀은 10편인 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 누리과정의 기본방향과 목적에도 부합하며 자타카의 유아교육현장 적용에 대한 가능성을 확인하였다. 다음으로 자타카의 5세 누리과정의 영역별 연계성 및 내용을 분석한 결과, 자타카 39편은 누리과정의 ‘신체운동ㆍ건강’영역에서 8개, ‘의사소통’영역은 7개, ‘사회관계’ 영역은 13개, ‘예술경험’ 영역은 5개, 그리고 ‘자연탐구’영역은 12개의 내용이 적용 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 누리과정 영역별 내용 범주에서는 ‘과학적 탐구하기’와 연계성이 가장 높으며, 다음으로 ‘사회에 관심가지기’, ‘듣기’와 ‘말하기’, ‘다른 사람과 더불어 생활하기’ 순으로 분석되었다. 결과적으로 자타카 동화 39편은 만 5세 누리과정 5개 영역의 72.6% 범위에서 유아교육 현장 적용이 가능한 것으로 해석되었다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Jātaka as a fairy tale and explore the area-specific connectivity and content of Nuri curriculum for five year olds, and draw implications for the early childhood education field application. For this purpose, on the subjects of professional 30 panelists, the applicability of the early-childhood education field application was validated and the final selection of 39 Jātaka were analyzed by looking at the content of the story book and the practice of the Six Paramitas(Perfections) virtue. The major characters of humanized animals, the greatest number (49.4%), were found as the result and 38.8% of the characters. Furthermore, those early-childhood education applicable the Six Perfections were analyzed as 10 The Perfection of Generosity, 5 The Perfection of Ethics, 3 The perfection of Patience, 6 The Perfection of Joyous, 5 The Perfection of Concentration, and 10 The Perfection of Wisdom. Those were suitable to the basic direction and purpose of Nuri curriculum and identified as a possibility of applying Jātaka as a field of early-childhood education. Next, in the analysis of the area-specific connectivity and content of Nuri curriculum for five year olds in the Jātaka, 39 were found to be applicable for 8 areas of “physical exercise and health” area of Nuri curriculum, 7 areas of ‘communication’, 13 areas of ‘social relations’, 5 areas of “art experience”, and 12 areas of “nature exploration”. In the content category of Nuri curriculum, ‘science inquiry’ is the most relevant, followed by ‘being attentive to society’, ‘listening’ and ‘speaking’, and ‘living with others’ in that order. As a result, 39 Jātaka were interpreted to be applicable for early childhood education field in the range of 72.6% of Nuri curriculum for five year olds.
