음률영역 활성화 프로그램이 영아의 음악적 능력과 신체표현능력에 미치는 효과

Effects of a Music and Movement Area Activation Program on Infant’s Musical Ability and Physical Expression Ability

본 연구는 음률영역 활성화 프로그램이 영아의 음악적 능력과 신체표현능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. G시에 위치하고 있는 A, B어린이집의 만 1세와 만 2세 학급 20명을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단을 동수로 구성하였다. 실험집단에 음률영역 활성화 프로그램을 10주간 20회 실시하였으며, 통제집단은 표준보육과정에 기초한 생활주제와 관련된 음악활동을 실시하였다. 연구도구는 Gordon(1989/2001)이 개발한 유동음악소질 검사와 Laban(1975)의 동작이론을 바탕으로 배현숙(1990)이 개발하여 김은심(1994)이 수정한 신체표현능력 검사를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 공분산분석을 실시하여 집단 간의 차이를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음률영역 활성화 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 영아의 음악적 능력 전체점수 및 하위요인에서 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 음률영역활성화 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 영아의 신체표현능력 전체점수 및 하위요인에서 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 음률영역 활성화 프로그램이 영아의 음악적 능력과 신체표현능력 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a music and movement area activation program on infant’s musical ability and physical expression ability. The subject of this study consisted of 20 classes of 2-year-old and 1-year-old children from two kindergartens located in G city, comprising the experimental group and control group. The experimental group participated in a music and movement area activation program for a total of 20 times during 10 weeks, while the control group experienced only musical activity related to daily themes based on standardized child care curriculum. The tools used in this study was the physical expression ability developed by Bae, Hyun-Suk(1990) based on Laban’s(1975) movement theory modified by Kim, Eun-Sim(1994) and floating musical aptitude by Gordon(1989/2001). Collected data was analyzed using ANCOVA to identify the differences between the groups. The results of this study were as follows. First, the total scores of infant’s musical ability and sub-categories in the experimental group were significantly higher compared to those of the control group. Second, the total scores of physical expression ability and sub-categories in the experimental group were significantly higher compared to those of the control group. These results indicate that a music and movement area activation program can improve infant’s musical ability and physical expression.
