‘교육봉사활동’ 교과 운영 실태와 개선방향

A Study on the Improvement Direction of Managing System of the Subject of ‘Educational Service Activity’

본 연구는 교원양성 과정에서 필수 교과로 설치․적용되고 있는 ‘교육봉사활동’ 과목의 운영 내실화를 기하기 위해 현행 교육봉사활동의 운영 실태를 파악하고, 이에 따른 과제를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 ‘교육봉사활동’ 교과의 설치 취지와 운영 방침 등을 살펴본 후, 교육봉사활동의 현황과 과제를 파악하기 위해 지방소재 5개 대학을 대상으로 관련 교수 및 업무 담당자를 면담하여 운영 사례를 분석하였다. 이어서 이 교과의 운영 실태 에 대한 교직과정 이수학생들의 인식을 알아보고자 설문 조사 및 심층면담을 실시하여 그 결과를 분석한 후, 앞에서 분석된 과제와 종합하면서 개선방향을 제시하였다. 연구결과에서 현행 교육봉사활동의 핵심적 과제로서 우선적으로 이 교과 운영의 충실성과 효과성 제고에 보다 많은 관심을 두어야 할 것을 제안하면서, 운영전반에대한 치밀한 계획 수립 및 관련 정보의 효율적 제공 방안 마련, 교육봉사활동 실시 기관과의 유기적 협력체제 구축, 교육봉사활동에 대한 인식 제고 등 관련 개선전략을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to draw the improvement direction for ensuring internal stability of managing system of the subject of educational service activity set up as a required subject in the curriculum for the teaching training course in university. For achieving this purpose, the survey and the interview targeting the staffs and professors concerned with managing this subject in 5 local universities were carried out in order to grasp the current situation and to draw some improvement directions. In addition to that, the survey and the interview targeting the 40 undergraduate students in attendance at the teaching training course were performed for analyzing their cognition on the managing system of this subject. On the basis of these analytical approach, the main result and findings of this study with relating to improvement direction for ensuring internal stability of managing system of the subject of educational service activity were suggested concretely.
