한국과 프랑스 미술교육 비교 연구

Comparitive Study for Difference of Art Education between Korea and France - Focusing on Elementary School Curriculum

미술 교육은 인간의 정서를 순화하고 삶의 질을 높이며 현대 사회에서 중요시 여기는 창의성과 상상력을 기른다는 특성을 가지고 있는 중요한 교과목이다. 그러나 현재 국내 미술교육의 문제는 입시제도나 수업환경의 열악함, 인식의 부족 등으로 인해 미술교육의 역할을 제대로 수행하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 창의성 발달에 아주 중요한 시기인 초등학교의 미술교육을 모든 교육의 기본이며 견인 수단으로 여기는 프랑스의 미술교육과 비교 연구함으로써, 국내 미술교육이 나아갈 방향을 제시하기 위함이다. 프랑스 미술교육에 대한 객관적인 비교 분석을 통하여 장점은 받아들이고, 단점은 보완하여 한국 미술교육의 현실에 맞는 이론을 정립하여야 한다. 스스로가 창조자로써 나아가야할 방향을 정하고 그것을 목표로 재능을 키워나가도록 고양시켜주어야 할 것이며 자신에게 필요한 것을 스스로 찾는 능력을 길러주는 것이야 말로 진정한 의미의 미술교육이라 할 것이다.

Art education is an important course that refines human emotions and improves quality of life, and it has the characteristics that bring creativity and imagination which are considered significant in modern society. However, the current issue of Art Education in Korea is that it has not been performing the role of art education properly due to poor entrance system or learning environment and lack of awareness. The purpose of this study is to provide a future direction of national art education with the comparative study on art education of domestic elementary school which is a very important period in the development of creativity and of French art education which is a basis and driving means of all education. Also, by conducting an objective analysis and research on art education in developed countries, such as France, a theory of art education in Korea which fits the reality will need to be established, accepting the benefits and making up for the weak points. Art education will need to present a better way to go as a creator, and provide students with a guidance to grow their talent. Helping them to find what they really need will be the true meaning of education.
