글쓰기 경험이 부족한 학생들을 위한 강의 전략:

Suggestions for Effective Instructional Strategy for the Inexperienced in Writings

오늘날 대학에서 개설되는 교양 글쓰기는 전공을 불문하고 수강해야 하는 필수 과목이지만, 글쓰기 경험이 부족한 학생의 경우 선입견과 두려움으로 인해 과목에 대한 흥미를 잃기 쉽다. 학습자가 지속적이면서 적극적으로 강의에 참여할 수 있게 하려면 흥미를 유발하여 참여를 유도할 수 있어야 하며, 지식 습득을 넘어 성찰에 이르도록 지도하여 만족감을 줄 수 있어야 한다. 이에 본고에서는 학습자의 흥미와 참여, 성찰과 만족도를 제고하기 위한 학습 전략으로, ①커리큘럼을 통어하는 단일한 키워드, ②문자 텍스트 외 다양한 매체 활용, ③개별적 작업과 모둠활동의 병행, ④수강 과정에서의 수련(修鍊)과 고민이 반영될 수 있는 과제와 시험 문제, ⑤이해(읽기)와 표현(쓰기)의 연계, ⑥사회 비평과 자아 성찰의 통합을 제시했다. 글쓰기 경험 이 적고 학습 의욕이 낮은 대학 신입생을 대상으로 개설되는 과목이라는 점을 고려할 때, ‘청춘’은 학습자들이 사회와 자기에 대한 인식과 실천의 폭을 확보할 수 있는 틀이자, 익숙하고 친밀한 소재라는 점에서 수강생의 관심을 유도하고 역량을 발휘하 게 하는 효과적이고 유용한 키워드가 될 수 있다. 본고에서 제안하는 ‘청춘글쓰기’ 강의안은 소통의 경험과 성취를 통해 만족감을 얻을 수 있도록 구성되어 있으며, 현장에 바로 적용할 수 있는 구체적 방안을 제시한다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

Nowadays most universities have made writing class compulsory for all majors. It became more important to create interests among the students inexperienced in writing, and attract voluntary participation from them. The key point is how to arise their interests and lead them to the introspection. So I suggest an effective instructional flow model for writing with 6 conditions like these : ①one keyword ②a diverse range of media including printed text, mass media, music, podcasts, etc. ③managing both group work and individual work ④assignments and examination reflectin students attitude and critical mind ⑤connecting comprehension[readig] and expression[writing and speaking] ⑥combining social criticism with self-examination Because these students are freshmen and lazy writers with little energy for learning, it is necessary to make class fit to them understanding their circumstances. ‘juvenescence’ is the best keyword to guide them and the good chance to display their ability to the full. This instructional flow model for writing converging on the theme of ‘juvenescence’ have the great value to make practical fields of the communication and self-fulfillment.
