자율적 미술활동을 통한 통합적 의미의 교육적 시사(듀이의 흥미이론에 기초하여 초등미술교육 중심으로)

Educational Suggestion Holding Synthetical Meaning Through Autonomous Activity of Arts (Focused on elementary education of arts based on Dewey s theory of interest)

현대미술의 급속한 변화는 이전의 형식주의를 해체하며 일어나는 현상들을 이해 해석하길 요구하지만 7차 미술교육과정에 따른 현장의 실천은 아직 학습자의 자율적 미술활동을 허용하는 것은 미약하다. 자율적 미술활동은 자율에 의해 대상과 관계를 맺으며 자신이 추구하는 맥락적인 절차적 과정을 거치게 된다. 이는 듀이의 흥미이론과 동일한 맥락성을 지닌다. 대상과 흥미적 관계를 맺은 활동을 통해 시간 간격(과거, 현재, 미래)을 총체적으로 통합하는 내적 통합 활동을 경험하는 것이 그러하다. 이는 세계와 능동적인 관계를 맺게 되어 자신이 동일하게 추구하는 맥락성에 제기되는 문제해결을 위해 다양한 수단을 동원하고 노력을 통해 내적인 성장과 발달을 하게 된다. 그러므로 과정을 겪고 행하는 것은 종합적이며 총체적인 내적 통합성을 지니는 것이다. 이는 교육적으로 중요한 시사성을 지니며 시대적 요구에 부합되는 통합교육의 목적과 다르지 않다. 이에 본 연구는 흥미를 통한 자율적 미술활동을 통해 학습자가 추구하는 절차적 과정에서의 내적 통합성을 이해함으로써 현대 미술교육 요구에 부합하는 통합적 의미에 대한 교육적 시사를 고찰하는데 그 목적이 있다.

The rapid change in the modern arts dissolves previous formalism and demands understanding and interpreting the phenomena bringing about. However practice at sites following the 7th revised curriculum of art education is still weak in allowing autonomous action of arts to learners. Autonomous action of arts means that someone enters into a relation with an object by himself and goes through his own contextual and procedural course. This is similar to the theory of interest by Dewey. It is so in experiencing inner integration activity that integrates the gap(past, present and future) generally through the activity of entering into a relation with an object. That is, the subject enters into a relation with the world, devotes himself to the solution of problem, with various means and efforts, caused on the same level he himself seeks, and develops internally through it. Therefore the process comes to preserve an inner integration, general and synthetical. This has an important point educationally and accords with the purpose of integrated education that is fit in with the demand of the age. The purpose of this study is to considerate the educational suggestion to the meaning of integration that the modern education of arts demands, by understanding the inner integration of the procedure that learners seek through interesting and autonomous activity of arts.
