등학교 학습자의 대화 전략 연구 : 소집단 활동에서 문제해결 과제를 중심으로

A Study of Conversation Strategies of Elementary school Learner- In Small Group Activity with Problem Solving Task -

이 연구는 교실 상황에서 학습 과제를 해결하는 초등학교 학습자 사이의 대화를 살펴보고, 그들의 수행하고 있는 고유한 대화 전략은 무엇인지 그 특성을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 소집단 학습 활동에서 초등학교 학습자가 사용한 대화를 분석한 결과, 자신의 발화에 대한 동의를 유발하기 위한 전략과, 전체 의사소통 목적을 위한 대화 진행 전략이 발견되었다. 구체적으로 의사소통 과정에서 대화 참여자들은 발화 동의를 위한 설득전략으로 ‘이성적 판단 요구하기, 단순요구하기, 아첨하기, 이타심 강조하기, 타인이용하기’ 등을 사용하였다. 그리고 대화 진행을 위해 ‘발화 참여 유도하기, 발화 및 발화 억제 요구하기, 다수결하기, 의견조합하기’ 등의 전략을 수행하였다. 이 전략 중 ‘대화 진행 전략’은 일반적인 대화에서 찾아보기 어려운, 수업 상황에서 학습 과제를 중심으로 생성된 초등학교 학습자 사이의 고유한 양상이라고 할 수 있다. 진정한 음성언어 의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 말하기·듣기 교수·학습을 위해서는 학습자 간의 상호작용이 활성화되어야 할 뿐 아니라, 그 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 의사소통의 특성들이 구체적으로 밝혀져, 교사와 학습자들에게 실질적인 정보로 제공되어야 한다. 이러한 정보는 교수·학습의 과정에서 교수법의 개발 방향과 말하기·듣기 학습 과제 구성에 도움을 줄 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the typical conversation strategies of elementary school learner. As a result, some examples of agreement induction strategies are reasonable judgement requesting, simple requesting, flattering, constructing, emphasizing of altruism, and using other persons. The participants of the small group conversation use the strategy of conversation participation induction and the strategy of making decision induction. The strategy of participation induction is utilized with questioning, demanding of utterance and restraining from one-sided utterance. As the strategy of making decision induction is utilized in making decision by the majority and the opinion compounding. The analysis results of the small group conversation provide information about the actual condition of language use of the students. At the same time, It suggests a plan of teaching and learning and concrete teaching method, aspect of the interaction for the spontaneous and integrative oral language, which is different from the use of word language. The interaction among the students must be activated to improve the substantial Speaking․Listening ability in the teaching and learning of Speaking․Listening Class. More importantly, the qualities of the communication between students must be revealed more concretely.
