아동문학 중심의 초등 국어과 교육 연구

A study on the Children\ s Literature-based Korean Language Education

오늘날 우리나라와 세계의 교육 패러다임은 대체로 구성주의 철학의 관점 아래, 학습자 중심의 교육을 지향하는 쪽으로 나아가고 있다. 그러나 그동안 국어과 수업에서는 아동 중심의 교육과정 운영을 실현하기가 어려웠다. 우리나라의 국어 교육은 전통적으로 아동들에게 스스로 학습을 계획하고 실천하며, 문제점을 분석해 보도록 하는 기회를 충분히 제공할 만한 여건도, 문화도 갖지 못했기 때문이다. 하지만 이러한 점은 점차 학습자 중심의 교육철학에 바탕을 둔 수업 방법들을 다양하게 수용함으로써 상당 부분 극복될 수 있는 여지가 있으리라고 본다. 그런데 이 학습자 중심의 수업 방법을 수용하는데 있어서 지금 국어과 교육과정 운영 체제와 부딪힐 수 밖에 없는 한가지 걸림돌이 있다. 그것은 다름아니라 5차 교육과정기부터 지금까지 국어과의 지상의 목표인 언어 사용 기능 신장의 목표를 구현하고자, 통합적으로보다 분절적으로 운영하고 있다는 점에서 온다. 5차 교육과정 이후, 초등학교의 국어 교과서는 ‘말하기/듣기’, ‘읽기’, ‘쓰기’로 분책되고, 수업도 영역별로 운영해왔다. 그 결과, 그동안 소홀히 다뤄왔던 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기를 고루 다루는 긍정적 효과를 가져온 점은 있다. 그러나 각 언어 기능 영역을 엄격히 분리해서 가르치는 것이 바람직하다는 오해를 나을 소지도 있었다

Literature appreciation and Creation activity is important for the learner centered korean language education. The 7th korean language textbook has many literature that is used by language of imformation, persuasion and familarity besides literature. In conclusion, the 7th korean language curriculum uses literature for development of Language ability and literature competence. Edaucation of literature, in itself takes worth and emotional education and it is method of the development language Arts. First, teaching method and type is different to the story styles. Second, we should establish teaching direction as the purpose of instruction story. Third, we take advantage of other story texts besides stories in text and reconstruct stories in text. Fourth, we research how to teach by various nursery stories for effective instruction story. So we should know many myth, folk tale and creative story, and make list about the various stories.
