ICT를 활용한 교수학습의 설계 방안

정보통신기술(Information & Communication Technology, ICT)란 일반적으로 정보 기술(Information Technology)과 통신 기술(Communication Technology)을 합한 말로 정보 기기의 하드웨어, 운영, 정보 관리에 필요한 소프트웨어적인 기술과 이들 기술을 이용하여 정보를 수집, 생산, 가공, 보존, 전달, 활용하는 모든 방법으로서 필요한 자료를 수집하고, 가공하고, 재창출하기 위해서 필요한 과학적 지식이다. 또한 OECD에서는 1998년에 수행한 \ ICT와 교육의 질(ICT and Quality of Learning)\ 이라는 연구에서 교육분야에서의 ICT의 의미를 다음과 같이 정의하였다.

Teaching skills of teachers can be a special alternative of a enormously growing private educational market in Korea. Teaching skills are generally recognized to include abilities of instructional design and implementation in classroom. Thanks to the progress of information technology, schools are encouraged to process instruction with ICT for the problem solving of students. In other words, it is necessary that teachers are able to use ICT in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instruction in classroom. In analysis stage, teachers select appropriate ICT and analyze ICT ability of students and learning environments prior to teaching activities. The next step is to find relevant teaching methods and find ways to include ICT in instruction. In development stage, materials needed in instruction are located and developed for the use in classroom. In implementation stage of the ICT, environments are in consideration for the maximum utilization of ICT in every situation. It is common that learners are set aside even though that they are the key person in teaching and learning process in ICT usage class. In ICT integration class, it is very important that the objectives of ICT use in instruction is that it be oriented toward improving problem solving abilities of students.
