The relationship of children’s self-esteem and other children’s regard

이 연구는 아동의 전인적 발달과 관련되는 요인들 중에서 아동의 자아존중감과 타인 배려의 관계를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 위해 설정된 관련 변인들 간의 분석에서 얻어진 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생의 자아존중감과 타인 배려의 하위 요인들 간에 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈다. 학교관련 자아존중감 영역을 제외한 아동의 자아존중감 변인들과 타인 배려의 다른 변인들 간에 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동의 자아존중감과 타인 배려의 관련 변인들의 관계에서 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 자아존중감 전체는 타인 배려 전체, 하위요인들인 정서반응, 행동반응, 그리고 타인 이해와 유의미한 관계가 있으며, 자아존중감의 또래관련 자아존중감 변인은 타인 배려 전체, 하위 요인들인 정서반응, 행동반응, 그리고 타인이해와 유의미한 관계를 나타냈다

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship of children’s self-esteem and other children’s regard. The questionnaires were collected from 270 elementary school students in 2 metropolitan provinces. The results of this study were as follows: First, it was found that the positive correlationship existed on the variables of self-esteem and other children’s regard. Second, there was a significant relationship between the variables of self-esteem and the variables of other children’s regard.
