포털사이트 기반 학습카페 활용 강좌에 참여한 대학생들의 긍정적 경험 및 어려움 분석

Analysis of Positive and Difficult Experiences of Students who participated in Courses using a Web-based Bulletin Board in College Education

본 연구는 포털사이트 기반 학습카페 활용 강좌에 참여한 대학생의 긍정적 경험 및 어려움을 질적, 양적으로 분석함으로써 대학 강좌에서 포털사이트 기반 학습카페 의 교육적 활용 가능성을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구자들이 담당 한 교양 및 전공 강좌 수강생 중 연구 참여에 동의한 학생 91명을 연구 참여자로 선 정하였다. 강좌는 2015년 3월 첫 주부터 6월 둘째 주까지 총 15주 동안 운영되었으 며, 이 기간 동안 연구 참여자가 작성한 학습카페 게시글, 중간 및 기말 강의평가, 강좌참여에 대한 저널 및 연구자가 작성한 현장약기 및 CQI 보고서를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 통합한 후 범주화를 하였고, 범주화된 유형별로 빈도와 백분율을 산 출하고, 질적 분석 및 해석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 포털사이트 기반 학습카페 활용 강좌에 참여한 대학생 중 긍정적 경험을 기술한 대학생 87명의 응답을 중복 분석한 결과, 상호 도움주고받기가 102건(55.1%)으로 가장 높은 응답을 보였고, 다음으로 수업 성찰 및 이해 증진 60 건(32.4%), 자기주도적 학습태도 함양 23건(12.5%) 순으로 나타났다. 반면, 30명 의 대학생은 어려움 또한 경험하고 있었는데, 수업내용 이해 및 시간 부족, 수업 후 상호 교류 부족이 각각 20건(43.5%)으로 높게 나타났으며, 학습 환경 부족은 6건(13.1%)이 어려움을 경험하고 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 대학 강좌 에서 포털사이트 기반 학습카페를 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의 하였다.

This study aims to explore the educational possibilities of utilizing the courses using a web-based bulletin board in college education. To approach the purpose of the study, it analyzed the college students’ positive and difficult experiences regarding the web-based course. The researchers who are responsible for those courses selected 91 college students who agreed to participate in this study. The courses have been operating for a total of 15 weeks from March to June, 2015, during which web bulletin board posts(e.g., journal) by the students, intermediate and final course evaluation, written journals, brief field notes by the researchers and the CQI reports were collected. The collected data was categorized after integration, and it was analyzed with frequency and percentage calculation by the categories. All the analysis was interpreted qualitatively and quantitatively. Research results showed that duplicate analysis over 87 students’ responses to a positive experience resulted in the highest response in the mutual help in 102 cases (55.1%), followed by reflection and promotion of understanding on instruction in 60(32.4%), foster of self-directed learning attitudes in 23(12.5%). On the other hand, 30 students were resulted in experiencing difficulties such as the lack of understanding instruction and time for writing web bulletin posts in 20 cases(43.5%), the lack of mutual online interaction after class in 20(43.5%) and the lack of learning environment in 6(13.1%). Based on the above findings, a few direction was implemented to guide utilizing the courses using a web-based bulletin board in college education.
