유·초 연계 북버디 프로그램이 유아의 또래유능성과 읽기태도에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Book Buddy Program Connecting Kindergarten and Elementary School on Young Children s Peer Competence and Reading Attitude

본 연구는 유·초 연계 북버디 프로그램이 또래유능성과 읽기태도에 미치는 영향 을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 5세 50명(실험집단 25명, 비교집단 25명)을 연 구대상으로 선정하였다. 실험집단에는 16주 동안 총 16회에 걸쳐 유·초 연계 북버디 프로그램을 실시하였고 비교집단은 개별 책읽기활동을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 공변량 분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 실험집단은 비교집단보다 또래 유능성이 유의미하게 높게 나타났으며 하위요인인 주도하기, 친구사귀기, 갈등해결 하기에서도 유의미한 향상이 나타났다. 이는 유·초 연계 북버디 프로그램이 유아의 또래유능성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 실험집단은 비교집단보 다 읽기태도에서 유의미한 향상이 나타나 유·초 연계 북버디 프로그램이 유아의 읽 기태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다고 할 수 있다. 이상의 연구결과를 통해 유·초 연 계 북버디 프로그램은 유아의 또래유능성과 읽기태도 증진에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a book buddy program which connects the kindergarten and elementary school on young children s peer competence and reading attitude. A total 50 children(25 children in the experimental group and 25 children in the comparative group)enrolled in two kindergartens participated in this study. The book buddy program was conducted 16 times for 16 weeks on the experimental group, while the comparative group read the books individually. ANCOVA was employed to analyze the data. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and comparison group with respect to the peer competence. The book buddy program that connected the kindergarten and elementary school positively influenced young children s peer competence. Second, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and comparison group with respect to the reading attitude. In conclusion, the book buddy program that connects the kindergarten and elementary school has positive effects on peer competence and reading attitude development for young children.
