생태유아교육기관에서의 유아음악교육에 관한 인식 및 요구

Perceptions and Demands of Childhood Music Education in Eco-Early Childhood Education Centers

본 연구는 생태유아교육기관에서의 유아음악교육 실태와 인식 및 요구를 살펴봄과 동시에 생태유아음악교육에 대한 인식 및 요구를 살펴봄으로써 이후 생태유아음악교 육 프로그램을 개발하고 활성화시키기 위한 방향을 모색함에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위 해 생태유아교육기관 4곳의 근무 경력 1년 이상의 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사와 면 담조사를 진행하였다. 연구결과, 음악교육은 수시로 노래 부르기를 중심으로 자유롭 게 이루어지고 있었고 자료는 피아노, 리듬악기, 컴퓨터 음원, CD 등과 기관에 비치되 어 있는 자료들을 활용하고 있었으나 음악환경 구성의 변화를 시도하고자 하는 모습 을 엿볼 수 있었다. 교사들은 음악교육에 대해 대체적으로 만족하고 있었으며, 음악교 육의 어려움에 있어서도 어렵지 않다는 의견이 많았다. 그렇지만 음악활동이 아이들 의 삶 속이 아닌 교육과정에서 이루어지고 있기 때문에 생태유아음악교육이 필요하 다는 의견이 많았다. 생태유아음악교육은 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 아이들과 자연스 럽게 하는 것이 좋다는 의견이 많았고 이를 위한 연수 및 교육활동은 보다 구체적이 고 실제적인 내용으로 다양한 음악자료를 원하고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아음 악교육이 유아들의 자연스러운 삶에 초점을 맞추어야 함과 동시에 교사들이 활용하 기에 수월한 생태유아음악교육 프로그램의 개발이 필요함을 시사한다.

This study observes the reality, perceptions, and demands of childhood music education at eco-early childhood education centers while it observes the perceptions and demands of eco-early childhood music education to find direction in which eco-early childhood music education programs can be developed and activated. For this, it conducted surveys on teachers working at one of four eco-early childhood education centers with at least one years of work experience, selected research participants, and conducted interviews. Study results showed that music education was conducted freely, centering on singing frequently and music education materials included pianos, rhythm instruments, computer sound sources, and CDs or materials provided by the institution but it could be seen that attempts were made to change the composition of music environments. Teachers were mostly satisfied with music education and in difficulties with music education, while most opinions stated that it was not difficult. But, as music activities were taking place through educational courses and not within the children’s lives, there were many opinions stating that eco-early childhood music education was needed. Teachers thought that it would be good to conduct eco-early childhood music education naturally and without a fixed setting within the children’s daily lives as they played. Also, training and educational activities for this demanded various music material with more detailed and realistic contents. Such research results imply that childhood music education should be focused on the natural lives of children and that eco-early childhood music education programs that can be easily utilized by teachers should be developed.
