유아 어머니의 삶의 만족도와 자녀의 문제행동 간의 관계에서 불안과 우울의 복수매개효과

Multiple Mediating Effects of Anxiety and Depression on the Relationship between Maternal Life Satisfaction and Preschooler Behavior Problems

본 연구는 유아 어머니의 삶의 만족도와 유아기 자녀의 문제행동 간의 관계에서 불안과 우울의 복수 매개효과를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 부산시와 울산시 에 소재한 유치원 8곳에 재원중인 만 3, 4, 5세 유아 517명과 그들의 부모 517명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 어머니 삶의 만족도와 불안 및 우울 수준, 유아의 문 제행동 수준을 진단하고 수집한 자료는 PASW Statistics 18.0과 Amos 18.0 프로그 램을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 측정모형의 적절성을 검토하기 위해 확인적 요인분석 을 실시하였다. 이후 구조방정식 모형으로 연구모형의 적절성을 검토한 후, 부트스 트래핑과 팬텀변수를 이용하여 복수매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석결과 어머니 삶의 만족도는 자녀의 문제행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않고 자신의 불안과 우울에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 어머니의 불안과 우울이 자녀의 문제행동에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또 매개효과 검증을 실시한 결과 어머니의 우울과 불안은 어머니 자 신의 삶의 만족도와 유아기 자녀의 문제행동사이에서 완전 매개 역할을 하는 것으 로 나타났다. 특히 본 연구 결과에서는 어머니의 우울이 불안보다 유아의 문제행동 에 상대적으로 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 유아의 문제행동 유발에 어머니 의 감정적 측면이 보다 큰 영향을 끼친다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the multiple mediating effects of the anxiety and depression of mothers with children in early childhood on the relationship between their own life satisfaction and the behavior problems of their children. The subjects in this study were 517 preschoolers and 517 their mothers at eight kindergartens located in the cities of Busan and Ulsan. The preschoolers were at the western ages of 3, 4 and 5. The findings of the study were as follows: The life satisfaction of the mothers exercised no direct influence on the behavior problems of their children, and that had a direct impact on their own anxiety, depression and the behavior problems of their children. When the mediating effects of the variables were analyzed, the depression and anxiety of the mothers had perfect mediating effects on the relationship between their own life satisfaction and the behavior problems of their children who were in early childhood. Specifically, it s found that the depression of the mothers exerted a relatively more influence on the behavior problems of the preschoolers, which implied that the emotional characteristics of the mothers had a greater impact on provoking the behavior problems of the preschoolers.
