초등학교 교사의 학급관리역량 척도 개발 및 타당화

Validation of Development of Korean Elementary School Teacher’s Classroom Management Competency Scale

본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사들의 학급관리 역량 강화를 위해 학급관리 역량 척 도를 개발하고, 척도의 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울·경기· 인천·경북 소재 초등학교에 재직 중인 교사 350명을 대상으로 검사를 실시하였다. 학급관리역량 척도는 ‘관계역량’ 요인, ‘교수역량’ 요인, ‘훈육역량’ 요인으로 총 3요 인 30개 문항으로 구성되었다. 본 척도의 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해 확인적 요인분석을 수행하였으며, 이를 토대로 구성된 학급관리 역량 척도의 수렴 타당도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 신뢰도 검증을 통해 학급관리역량 척도는 26개 문항의 3 개 하위요인(관계역량, 교수역량, 훈육역량), 총 18개 문항으로 구성되었으며 요인별 신뢰도는 .569∼.832로 나타났다. 둘째, 확인적 요인분석을 통해 학급관리역량 척도 는 총 3개요인(관계역량, 교수역량, 훈육역량) 3요인 18문항으로 최종 선정되었으며, 학급관리역량 척도의 전체 신뢰도는 .854, 3개 요인의 신뢰도는 .634∼.858로 나타났 다. 셋째, 수렴 타당도 검증을 통해 학급관리역량의 3개 요인들은 교사효능감, 소진, 직무 만족도, 직무몰입과 유의미한 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 준거 관련 타당도를 통해 근속연한에 따른 4집단의 학급관리역량이 유의한 차이를 보이는지 살펴보기 위해 일원 다변량 분석을 수행한 결과, 학급관리역량 전체와 하위 요인 중 ‘교수역량’ 요인에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구 결과를 통해 타당도가 입증된 학급관리역량 척도는 초등학교 교사의 학급관리 역량 증진을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study aimed to develop the Classroom Management Competency Scale for Elementary school teachers. The scale was developed ‘Relationship competency’, ‘Instructional competency’, ‘Class discipline competency’ 3 factors and 18 items. This subjects were 275 elementary school teacher in Seoul, Kyunggi, Incheon, Kyungbuk area. First, samples was used to generate the factors through confirmatory factor analysis. It resulted in a scale of 3 factors which contains ‘Relationship competency’, ‘Instructional competency’, ‘Class discipline competency’ and 18 items. Second, convergent validity was supported through correlations between the elementary school teacher’s classroom management competency scale and teacher’s efficacy, burnout, job satisfaction and organization commitment. Third, one way multivariate analysis of variance were indicated that experienced teachers had higher classroom management competency(i.e., instructional competency) than novice teacher.
