교육봉사활동을 통한 예비유아교사의 교사 자질 함양에 대한 기대와 자기평가

Expectations and Self‐evaluation of Pre‐service Early Childhood Teachers’ Enhancement of Teacher Qualification through Educational Volunteer Activities

본 연구는 교육봉사활동을 통한 예비유아교사의 교사 자질 함양에 대한 기대와 자기평가의 차이를 알아보는데 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 유아교육과 3,4학년 재학생 대상 설문조사를 통해 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 예비유아교사들은 교육봉사활동을 통한 교사 자질 함양에 대하여 전반적으로 높은 기대를 나타냈다.자기평가수준은 기대에 비해 낮았으며, 특히 학급 내 봉사활동 시간, 담당학급 배정방식, 대학 및 봉사활동기관의 사전교육 및 사후평가 유무에 따라 다른 결과를 보였 다. 교육봉사활동을 통한 교사 자질 함양에 대한 기대와 자기평가는 교사 자질의 전영역에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 교육봉사활동 사전교육 및 반성적 평가를 체계적으로 실시하고, 예비유아교사가 단일 학급에 소속되어학급 내 봉사활동 시간을 충분히 갖도록 하는 것이 교사 자질 함양에 유익한 경험을 제공할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference of expectation and selfevaluation of pre‐service early childhood teachers’ enhancement through teacher volunteer activity. For this purpose, data collected through questionnaires of third and fourth grade students in the early childhood education department were analyzed. From the results of the study, the pre‐service early childhood teachers showed high expectation about the enhancement of teacher qualification through the service volunteer activities. Self‐evaluation level was lower than expected. In addition, particularly, the results were different according to the time of classroom service, the way of classroom assignment, and whether to have the pre‐education and post‐evaluation of college and volunteer organizations. The expectation and self‐evaluation of teacher’s qualification enhancement through the education volunteer activities showed statistically significant difference in all areas of teacher qualification. Through these results, it is necessary to carry out systematic pre‐education and reflective evaluation for the educational volunteer activities, and for pre‐service early childhood teachers to be part of a single class and have plenty of time for in‐class volunteer activities, which can help provide a useful experience in the enhancement of teacher qualification.
