대학 수업에서 사례기반학습이 과제성취도와 학습만족도에 미치는 영향

Effects of Case-Based Learning on Task Achievement and Learning Satisfaction in the University Class

본 연구의 목적은 대학수업에 적용한 사례기반학습의 효과를 강의식 수업과 비교하여 과제성취도와 학습만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 탐색하는 것이다. 2주 동안 실험집단은 사례연구법 방식의 사례기반학습으로, 통제집단은 강의식 수업을 통해 학습하였다. 두 집단 모두에게 2주간 학습한 내용을 적용하는 수업지도안 작성과제를 수행하도록 하여 과제성취도를 측정하였고, 학습만족도 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 두 집단 간 과제성취도에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며(t=3.239, p<.05),사례기반학습이 강의식 수업보다 과제성취도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 반면 학습만족도에는 두 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않아 (t=-.673, p>.05), 사례기반학습이 학습만족도에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 실험집단 학생들은 사례기반학습의 장점으로 팀 활동을 통한 의견 공유와 적극적 수업참여, 스스로 학습하고 더 많이 학습하게 된 점 등을 언급하였고, 단점으로 는 팀 활동의 어려움, 시간 부족, 내용 자체에 대한 이해 부족 등을 지적하였다. 사례기반학습의 개선점으로는 충분한 시간 확보, 연관 학습 내용에 대한 사전 설명, 수업방식에 대한 안내 등이 도출되었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of case-based learning on task achievement and learning satisfaction. To solve the research questions, an experimental study was carried out with a posttest with nonequivalent groups design over two weeks. The experimental group studied by case method among type of case based learning. and The control group studied by lecture method. After finishing the experiment, for measuring task achievement and learning satisfaction, the participants of each group performed an assignment and completed the questionnaire. As a result of the study, there was a statistically difference between two groups(t=3.239, p<.05). It means that active learning activities through case analysis and discussion have an influence on the improvement of task achievements. A statistically difference in learning satisfaction between groups didn t appear(t=-.673, p>.05). Students experienced the case-based learning pointed advantages of the method as the follows: sharing ideas in team activities, participating in active learning, doing self-directed learning. The weaknesses were pointed out such as a lack of time, difficulties of team activitities, a lack of understanding about learning contents.
