학교 밖 과학경험, 학습환경, 과학학습동기, 초인지 전략 및 과학성취도 간의 구조적 관계 분석

The analysis of the structural relationships among outside of school scientific experience, learning environment, science learning motivation, metacognitive strategy and academic achievement in science

본 연구의 목적은 학교 밖 과학경험, 초인지 지향 학습환경, 과학학습동기, 초인지 전략 및 과학성취도의 구조적인 관계를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 학교 밖 과학경험, 초인지 지향 학습환경을 외생변수로, 과학학습동기, 초인지 전략 및 과학성취도를 내생변수로 하여 구조 모형을 설정한 후 모형 적합도 및 경로계수의 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구 결과 학교 밖 과학경험과 초인지 지향 학습환경은 과학학습동기에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며 학습동기는 초인지 전략과 과 학성취도에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 초인지 전략은 과학성취도에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 학교 밖 과학경험과 과학성취도의 관계에서 학습동기와 초인지 전략의 매개효과가 나타났으며 초인지 지향 학습환경과 과학성취도의 관계에서도 과학학습 동기와 초인지 전략의 매개효과가 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 과학교육에의 시사점을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to find out the structural relationships among outside of school scientific experience, metacognitive orientation learning environment, science learning motivation, metacognitive strategy and academic achievement in science by using structural equation model. In this research, outside of school scientific experience and metacognitive orientation learning environment were set as exogenous variables, science learning motivation, metacognitive strategy and academic achievement in science were set as endogenous variables. Then goodness of fit index and path coefficient of structural model was verified. The results showed that outside of school scientific experience and metacognitive orientation learning environment have direct effects on science learning motivation. The science learning motivation has direct effects on metacognitive strategy and academic achievement in science. Metacognitive strategy also has an direct effect on academic achievement in science. The mediation effects of the science learning motivation and metacognitive strategy exists in the relationship between outside of school scientific experience and academic achievement in science. This is the same in the relationship between metacognitive orientation learning environment and academic achievement in science. Based on the results, implications in the field of science education were discussed.
