고등학교 물리교사의 예제문제에 대한 인식

The Perception of High School Physics Teachers on Their Application of the Worked-out Examples

물리교육에 있어서 많은 학생들은 물리를 어렵다고 생각할 뿐만 아니라 물리 개 념을 이해하고, 문제 해결을 하는데 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그래서 교사들은 학생의 이러한 어려움을 해소시켜주기 위해 물리수업에서 예제 문제를 활용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고등학교 물리교사의 예제문제에 대한 인식을 알기 위해 예제문제 활용 이 교수-학습에 미치는 효과에 대한 교사의 인식과 수업에서 활용하는 예제문제의 유형을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 고등학교 물리교사 12명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 수 행하였다. 수집한 자료를 분석한 결과 고등학교 물리교사들이 인식하고 있는 예제문 제 활용의 효과는 학생들의 물리 개념 이해 도움, 예제 문제 해결 과정에서 학생들 의 물리 개념의 이해 정도 파악, 학생들에게 물리 개념과 공식의 적용 방법 제시, 학 생들에게 문제 해결을 위한 이상적인 접근 방법 제시, 학생들에게 물리 내용의 이해 기준 제공이었다. 교사들이 수업에서 활용하는 예제문제 유형은 개념학습 예제문제 와 탐구학습 예제문제로 구분되며, 개념학습 예제문제는 문제 해결 과정에서 요구되 는 수행방법에 따라 양적 수행 예제문제와 질적 수행 예제문제로 분류된다. 이에 비 해 탐구학습 예제문제는 양적 수행과 질적 수행이 동시에 요구되는 예제문제이다.

This research is carried out to emphasize the necessity of applying worked-out examples through contemplating the application of worked-out examples and their effect on teaching and learning. Semi-structured in-depth interview of 12 physics teachers who teach in high schools was conducted. The result of the research shows that there are mainly five effects of the application of worked-out examples recognized by teachers. First, the worked-out examples help students understand the concept of physics. Second, it can be used to measure the level of understanding of the students. Third, it suggests a way to apply the notion and formulas of physics. Fourth, it suggests the ideal way of problem-solving for the students. Fifth, it provides the standard for their level of understanding. The worked-out examples utilized by the teachers can be classified depending on their meaning and characteristics. Worked-out examples used by teachers are mainly divided into those for concept learning and those for inquiry learning. Depending on the executive methods required for the problem-solving procedure, the worked-out examples are subdivided into quantitative-executive worked-out examples and qualitative-executive worked-out examples. Lastly, worked-out examples for inquiry learning process require both quantitative-executive and qualitative-executive by including the research study in worked-out examples with experimental executive procedure and outcome data, which allow students to experience the entire process from discovering the problem to generalization.
