중학교 체육수업에서 교사-학생의 관계에 관한 친밀감 형성요인 탐색

A Search for Intimacy Factors on Teacher-Students Relationships in Middle School Physical Education Classes

본 연구는 중학교 체육수업에서 교사-학생의 관계에 관한 친밀감 형성요인을 탐색 하고자 하였다. 교사-학생 관계에서의 친밀감은 교수·학습의 질 뿐만 아니라 교사-학생의 관계를 개선하는데 도움을 줄 수 있기 때문이다. 연구 참여자는 J도에 근무하는 3명의 교사와 6명의 학생을 주제보자로 선정하였다. 그리고 참여관찰, 서술형 설문조사, 면담을 통해 자료를 수집 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 교사가 학생들을 인격체로 바라보고 이해하며 공감해 주거나 지속적인 관심과 배려를 해줄 때 친밀감이 형성되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 체육교사가 가르치는 일, 내용, 학생에 대한 열정을 가지고 있고, 칭찬과 격려, 유머, 근접성, 얼굴표정과 신체접촉과 같이 학생들과 통하는 의사소통을 할 때 친밀감이 형성되는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 교사들은 학생들이 적극적으로 수업에 참여를 할 때, 학생들은 재미있는 수업과 자유로운 수업 분위기에서 친밀감이 형성되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 교사-학생 간의 친밀한 유대 관계는 머리뿐만 아니라 가슴이 함께 하는 일이며, 수업은 교사-학생 간의 친밀한 관계에서 시작되는 것이다.

This study was carried out with a view to search for the factors to form close relationship between teachers and students in the middle school class for physical education, since sense of closeness in relationship between teachers and students would not only promote quality of teaching and learning in the class but also improve their relationship greatly. The participants in the present study selected 3 teachers working in J Province and 6 students as main subjects for this study and collected data by means of participatory observation, observatory records, open-end enquetes and interviews with them. From the study, it was made known that sense of closeness could be created when teachers treated students as human and continued to show concern and consideration for them. Close relationship could also be formed when PE teachers approached to students with passion, contents and passion for teaching and encouraged them with humor and praise which are easily accepted as means of communication by the students. Closeness was also prompted between teachers and students when the latter were involved in the class in a free, active and interesting atmosphere. It was brain as well as heart that worked to promote close relationship between teachers and students and the class originated in the intimate relationship between teachers and students.
