통합적 읽기 프로그램이 초등학생의 읽기능력 및 읽기태도에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Integrative Reading Program on the Reading Ability and Reading Attitude of Elementary students

본 연구는 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램을 구안하고 이러한 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기프로그램이 초등학생의 읽기능력 및 읽기태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램 활동이 초등학교 읽기 곤란학생의 읽기능력에 미치는 영향은 무엇인가? 둘째, 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램 활동이 초등학교 읽기 곤란학생의 읽기태도에 미치는 영향은 무엇인가? 라는 연구문제를 설정하였다. 연구대상은 C도에 소재한 S초등학교 3학년 2개 학급에서 읽기능력과 읽기태도에서 낮은 점수를 얻고 점수 분포가 유사한 30명을 의도적 표집을 통해 선정하고, 각각 15명씩 실험집단과 통제집단으로 선정하였다. 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램은 국어와 음악 교육과정 및 교사용 지도서, 교과서, 초등학생에게 익숙한 동요와 동화를 참고하여 지도 교수 및 교과 전문가의 조언을 받아 8주 24차시 분의 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램 구안하였다. <연구문제 1>과 <연구문제 2>를 검증하기 위하여 실험 처치 전 후 읽기능력 및 읽기태도에 대한 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)을 통해 차이를 검증하였다. 연구의 결과는 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램이 읽기능력에서 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 읽기태도에서도 유의미한 수준으로 효과의 차이를 나타내었다. 이상의 연구 결과에 비추어 동요와 동화를 활용한 통합적 읽기 프로그램은 초등학생의 읽기능력과 읽기태도 신장에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to design the integrative reading program using children s songs and fairy tales, and testify the effect of the integrative reading program on the reading ability and reading attitude of elementary students. To achieve the above objective, the following research problems were posed. First, what is the effect of the integrative reading program activity using children s songs and fairy tales on the reading ability of the elementary students having difficulty reading? Second, what is the effect of the integrative reading program activity using children s songs and fairy tales on the reading attitude of the elementary students having difficulty reading? The 30 subjects were selected intentionally from the two classes of the third grade of S elementary school, located in C Province, who have low scores and are similar in terms of score distribution of reading ability and reading attitude. Also, they were assigned into two groups of experimental group and control group, 15 students respectively. The integrative reading program of 8 weeks and 24 periods using the children s songs and fairy tales were designed with the help of a thesis director and the course expert, referring to korean language and music curriculum , teacher s guidebooks, textbooks and fairy tales familiar to elementary students. The verification of the 〈research task 1〉and〈research task 2〉was done by the difference of reading ability and reading attitude using the analysis of ANCOVA before and after experimental treatment. The results of the study have shown that the integrative reading program using children s songs and fairy tales indicated a significant difference in reading ability and the meaningful difference of effect in reading attitude, too. Based on the above findings, it was proved that the integrative reading program using children s songs and fairy tales contributed to improving reading ability and reading attitude.
