대학생의 도덕적 자아, 자기통제력, 공감 및 도덕적 행동 간의 구조적 관계분석

Analysis of the Structural Relationship among Moral Self, Self-Control, Empathy and Moral Behavior of University Students

본 연구는 대학생의 도덕적 자아, 자기통제력, 공감이 도덕적 행동에 미치는 구조적인 인과관계와 직․간접효과를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 연구대상은 B시 소재 4개 대학교 748명을 대상으로 도덕적 자아, 자기통제력, 공감, 도덕적 행동 척도를 측정도구로 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 최종적으로 전체 723명의 자료가 분석에 포함되었으며, 수집된 자료는 AMOS 20.0을 이용한 구조방정식모형 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과와 논의를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 공감은 도덕적 행동에 직접적인 효과가 있다. 둘째, 대학생의 도덕적 자아 및 자기통제력은 공감에 직접적인 효과가 있다. 셋째, 대학생의 도덕적 자아는 공감을 매개로 도덕적 행동에 간접적인 효과가 있다. 넷째, 대학생의 자기통제력은 공감을 매개로 도덕적 행동에 간접적인 효과가 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학생의 공감이 도덕적 행동에 직접적인 효과가 있으며, 이는 대학생의 도덕적 행동을 수행하는데 있어서 타인에 대한 이해 및 관심을 내포하는 공감이 중요한 작용을 한다는 것을 보여준다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학생들에게 바람직한 도덕적 가치 선택을 할 수 있도록 도덕적 자아에 대한 정체감 형성과 자기를 통제할 수 있는 의지력이 도덕적 수행을 도울 수 있으며, 대학생들의 도덕적 행동을 향상시킬 수 있도록 변인들 모두를 포함하여 이들 간의 인과관계를 고려한 체계적인 도덕성 프로그램의 필요성을 보여준다.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the structural relationship among moral self, self-control, empathy and moral behavior of university students. For the purpose of this study, 723 students were selected from 4 universities in Busan. Moral Self Scale, Self-Control Scale, Empathy Scale, and Moral Behavior Scale were used for this study. And data have been analyzed using AMOS 20.0. Model fit indices had been estimated to examine the model identification using Maximum Likelihood Estimation, and the structural relationship had been analyzed using the structural regression model. Conclusions from the results and discussion are as follows: First, university students self⎽control and empathy affect moral behavior directly. Second, university students moral self and self⎽control affect empathy directly. Third, university students moral self affects moral behavior through empathy indirectly. Fourth, university students self⎽control affects moral behavior through empathy indirectly. The conclusions show that university students s empathy affects moral behavior directly, and university students s moral self or self⎽control affect moral behavior through empathy indirectly. Thus the main conclusion is that moral self and self⎽control are linked to positive moral value choice, for this it need to develop morality program to improve the moral understanding and much interest in others.
