국어교과서 개발을 위한 기초문식성 지도 실태와 인식 조사

A survey on the instruction status and teacher\ s view of beginning literacy for Korean textbook development

국어교과서는 평생 교육이라고 할 수 있는 국어 교육의 기초를 결정하는 입문 자료의 성격을 지닌다. 초등학교 저학년 국어교과서에 반영된 초기 문자 교육은 기초문식성 차원에서 접근해야 한다. 이 연구에서는 기초문식성의 개념을 살펴보고, 그에 대한 현장의 지도 실태와 교사의 인식을 토대로 개정 국어과 교육과정에 따른 저학년 국어교과서 개발 방향을 모색하였다. 기초문식성 지도 실태와 교사의 인식을 파악하기 위해서, 지도 시기와 유치원 연계면, 학생 수준 실태면, 지도 내용면, 지도 방법면, 국어 교과서 및 자료면으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 이러한 조사 결과를 토대로 저학년 국어교과서 개발 방향을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저학년 교과서는 기초문식성을 학습할 수 있는 충분한 시간과 자료를 확보하여 제시해야 한다. 둘째, 초기문자 지도 내용의 체계화가 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 기초문식성 지도를 위한 균형적인 접근법을 제시해야 한다. 넷째, 낱말 및 제재 선정 기준과 활용 방식의 원리를 제시해야 한다.

Korean textbook is the introductory tools which decide the korean language education which may be rightly be called as the lifelong education. Early character education which is reflected at the korean textbook of the lower grade student should be approached at the level of beginning literacy. In this study, I surveyed the meaning of the beginning literacy and tried to search development direction of the lower grade student\ s textbook according to the new korean language curriculum on the ground of the teaching status and the teacher\ s view of the beginning literacy at school To find out the instruction status and teacher\ view of beginning literacy, I surveyed the instruction period, the connection of education between the elementary school and kindergarten, the status of student\ s level, the context of instruction, the method of the instruction, korean textbook and materials. With the basis of these studies, I propose the development direction of the korean textbook as follows. First sufficient time and materials to study beginning literacy should be included in the lower grade korean textbook. Second, the context systematization of early character instruction should be done. The third, the balanced approach for the instruction of beginning literacy should be proposed. The forth, the selection criteria of word and material, and the principle of application method should be proposed.
