초등학교 재량활동 교육과정 운영에 대한 교사의 인식과 요구 분석

A study on the teacher\ s perceptions and the analysis of their demands concerning the elementary school\ s optional activities curriculum and it\ s operation

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 재량활동 교육과정 운영에 대한 교사의 인식과 요구를 파악하고 재량활동 교육과정 운영의 활성화를 위한 향후 과제를 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위해 재량활동 교육의 개념, 발전과정 및 선행연구를 간략하게 개관하고, 초등학교 교사(316명)를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 향후 초등학교 재량활동 교육과정의 운영이 본래의 도입 취지에 맞게 운영되고, 활성화되기 위해서는 재량활동과 관련된 교원의 지속적인 교육과정 연수, 교사들에게 교육과정 개발 관련 분야의 전문성 신장 방안 모색, 재량활동 운영을 위한 제반 제도적 장치 마련, 창의적 재량활동을 위한 다양한 프로그램 개발, 재량활동 운영 계획 수립시 충분한 시간 확보, 융통성 있는 연간 운영 시간수의 제시 방안 모색, 재량활동 교육활동과 관련된 활동프로그램 내용의 지속적인 모니터링 등이 요청된다.

The objective of this study is to understand the teacher\ s perceptions and demands with respect to implementing the optional activities curriculum for the elementary school, and to suggest the ways of invigorating its implementation in the future. With such an objective in mind concepts of optional activities education, its course of development and prior studies were reviewed along with a survey which was carried out by asking a series of questions in the form of a questionnaire distributed to a group of teachers at elementary schools(316 persons). Based on the results of this study, it is concluded that the following measures are to be taken in order to implement the optional activities curriculum of the elementary school. as originally intended, and to further invigorate its implementation: Firstly school teacher in charge of the optional activities are to be given an opportunity to continue receiving a relevant training program. Secondly ways of enhancing schoolteacher\ s professionalism in their role of developing the optional activities curriculum are to be sought. Thirdly various institutional devices are to be established facilitating the operation of optional activities. Fourthly a variety of optional activities programs are to be developed so that optional activities may be performed in a more creative manner. Fifthly sufficient time is to be secured when establishing an implementation program for optional activities. Sixthly plans are to be made to make the yearly implementing hours more flexible. Finally plans are also to be made to continuously monitor the activity programs relating to the optional activities education.
