초등교원을 위한 지속가능발전교육 연수 프로그램 개발 및 적용

Development and Application of the Education for Sustainable Development Training Programs for the Elementary School Teacher

이 연구는 환경오염과 공동체의 파괴 등 전 지구적 문제를 해결하기 위한 근본적인 접근방법으로 등장한 지속가능발전교육에 대한 초등학교 교사의 인식과 이해를 높일 수 있는 지속가능발전교육 연수 프로그램을 개발 및 적용하기 위한 목적에서 수행되었다. 연수 프로그램은 기초 과정 30시간과 심화 과정 60시간으로 구분하여 개발하였고 강의에 적절하게 활용할 수 있도록 강의 개요와 활동 설명, 학습 활동지, 프리젠테이션 자료 등으로 구성하였다. 강의 과목은 생태, 환경, 사회, 정치적 지속가능성에 대한 인식을 함양하고 지속가능발전교육에 대한 실천역량을 기를 수 있도록 지속가능발전교육에 대한 이론적 접근뿐만 아니라 수업에 적용할 수 있는 활동과 체험을 함께 구성하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 서울, 경기, 충정, 경상 지역 초등학교 교사 377명을 대상으로 여름과 겨울 방학기간에 적용하였다. 연수 참여 교사를 대상으로 만족도 조사를 실시한 결과는 긍정적인 응답이 많았고 수렴된 의견을 연수 프로그램에 반영하였다.

The Education for Sustainable Development(ESD) was appeared to fundamental approach that was to solve global issues like environmental pollution and community destruction. The purpose of this study was to develop and apply of the ESD training programs that improve perceptions and understanding of the ESD for the elementary school teacher Training programs were made up of 30 hours basic course and 60 hours deepen course. And it was composed of lecture overview, activity explanation, learning activities, PPT presentation material and etc to lecturer’s appropriate using. The course was not only includes a theoretical approach of ESD, but also practical activities and experiences. That was to develop awareness of ecological, economy, social and political sustainable development and to improve practical competences. Developed programs were applied in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang provinces with elementary school teachers during summer and winter vacation. A survey was carried out with teachers who took part in ESD training programs. According to the survey, many teacher’s thought that programs were good. Lastly teacher’s opinions were reflected in ESD training programs.
