위키 기반 협동학습과제 수행에서 혼합학습 유형과 협동학습 구조화 전략이 학습태도에 미치는 효과

Effects of the Types of Blended Learning and the Types of Collaborative Learning Strategy on Students Learning Attitude toward Wiki-based Collaborative Learning Environments

본 연구는 web 2.0 환경에서 제공하는 위키를 활용한 협동학습 환경에서 대학생들이 상호작용을 통해 학습과제를 해결해 가는 과정에서 혼합학습의 유형과 협동학습 구조화 전략이 학습태도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 혼합학습 유형은 전체 수업을 오프라인 면대면 학습으로 진행한 ‘집합학습’ 2개 집단, 온라인 수업과 오프라인 수업을 병행한 ‘병행학습’ 1개 집단, 수업의 대부분을 주로 온라인으로 진행한 ‘원격학습’ 1개 집단으로 구성하였으며, 협동학습 구조화 전략은 Dansereau 등(1988)이 개발한 ‘MURDER’ 전략을 사용한 ‘구조화 전략’ 2개 집단과 ‘MURDER’를 사용하지 않은 ‘비구조화 전략’ 2개 집단으로 구분하였다. MURDER 전략에 따라 협동학습의 수행을 구체적으로 안내해 주는 ‘구조화 전략’은 ‘집합학습’ 1개 집단과 ‘원격학습’ 집단에 투입하였으며, ‘비구조화 전략’은 학습자들 스스로 협동학습 전략을 사용하여 과제를 수행하도록 하는 전략으로서 ‘집합학습’ 1개 집단과 ‘병행학습’ 집단에 투입하였다. 실험 후 설문지를 이용하여 위키를 활용한 협동학습 환경 및 효과에 대한 태도가 혼합학습 유형별 집단 및 협동학습 구조화 전략별 집단에 따라 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 검증하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면, 위키 기반 협동학습 환경에서 학생들의 학습태도는 혼합학습의 형태 중 면대면 접촉의 기회가 가장 많았던 ‘집합학습’ 집단이 가장 높은 점수를 보였으며, 면대면 접촉의 기회가 가장 낮은 ‘원격학습’ 집단에서 가장 낮은 점수를 보였다. 또한 협동학습 구조화 전략별에 따라서는 협동학습의 진행 절차와 방법에 대하여 구체적으로 안내해 주는 ‘구조화 전략’ 집단이 ‘비구조화 전략’ 집단 보다 더 높은 학습태도 점수를 보였다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 오늘날 오프라인 학습과 온라인 학습이 별도의 학습공간으로서가 아니라 하나의 확장된 학습공간 개념으로 인식되어 감에 따라 온라인 학습환경에서도 가급적 면대면 접촉의 기회를 많이 갖도록 하여야 하며, 학습방법에 대한 구체적 지도방안들이 강구되어야 함을 시사한다고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the types of blended learning and the types of the collaborative learning strategy on students attitude toward their wiki-based collaborative learning. For this study, two face-to-face instruction classes, one blended learning class, and one online instruction class were organized. The MURDER strategy, the structured collaborative learning strategy was utilized for the one face-to-face instruction class and one online instruction class, where students were guided step by step to complete the collaborative learning activity. On the other hand, the unstructured collaborative learning strategy was used for the other face-to-face instruction class and the blended learning class, where students had no chance to be guided. The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the difference of the students attitude toward the collaborative learning environment depending on the types of the instruction and the types of the collaborative learning strategy. The results of this study are followings: First, regarding the types of the instruction, students in the face-to-face instruction class showed the most positive attitude toward the collaborative learning activity and students in the online instruction class showed the least one. Second, students, who completed their collaborative learning activity using the MURDER strategy, showed the more positive attitude on their learning than students using the unstructured collaborative learning strategy.
