체육수업에 대한 여중생의 기대와 실망요인 분석

본 연구의 목적은 체육수업에 대한 여중생의 기대와 실망요인을 분석하는 것이다. 이에 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여중생은 교육과정, 체육교사, 수업환경, 외재적 가치, 학습평가, 성적특수 성, 개인/학생선호도 순으로 체육수업에 관한 기대요인을 갖고 있었다. 둘째, 여중생은 교육과정, 학습평가, 체육교사, 수업환경, 개인/학생선호도, ‘외재적 가치, 성적특수성 순으로 체육수업에 관한 실망요인을 나타내고 있었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 살펴보면, 교사의 영향이 중요한 실천적 교육과정이 체육수업에 대한 여중생의 인식에서 중요한 요인으로 자리 잡고 있었으며, 여중생의 체육수업 참여 활성화를 위해서는 무엇보다도 학생들과 직접적으로 소통하여 수업을 운영하는 체육교사의 역할이 중요하다.

The purpose of this study was to offer preliminary data for an effective physical education class that considers the characteristics of female students by analyzing middle school female students’ expectation and disappointment factors on a physical education class, and to further suggest a proper direction for physical education. Inductive content analysis includes open coding, creating categories and abstraction. Based on an analysis through such study method and procedure, a conclusion was as follows. Concerning female middle school students’ expectations, disappointment factor for a physical education class, factors were categorized as a ‘curriculum’, ‘individual/student preference’, ‘sexual uniqueness’, ‘classroom environment’, ‘physical education teacher’, ‘learning evaluation’, and ‘academic achievement’. To promote female middle school students participation in a physical education class, it was very important for a physical education teacher to teach a class by directly communicating with students. The physical education teacher must make a systematic effort to continue to reflect upon oneself and to develop a teaching method, and an understanding female students entering an adolescent period must be achieved in advance. Through such effort, it is the ultimate objective of school physical education so as to promote a life of voluntary physical activities even as adults by expanding female middle school students’ positive experience in a physical education class.
