도덕과 교과서 시범 단원 분석 연구

Analysis of the Demonstration Unit of Ethics Textbooks

본 연구는 초등학교 5학년 도덕과 ‘핵심성취기준 중심의 교과서 시범 단원’을 2015개정 교육과정의 맥락에서 논의되는 ‘참고서가 필요 없는 학습 완결형 교과서’와 ‘핵심성취기준에 따른 내용 적정화 교과서’라는 관점에서 분석 논의한 것이다. 나아가 시범 단원 교과서가 도덕과 본래의 역할과 기능에 적합한지 검토하여, 개정 교육과정에 따른 도덕 교과서 개발에 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 연구 결과 시범 단원은 교과서 본문, 참고서, 문제집 기능이 갖추어진 학습 완결 형 교과서로 평가되었으나, 교사가 자율성을 발휘하기 어렵고 학생의 상호작용이 담 긴 활동이 부족하다고 지적되었다. 한편 핵심성취기준은 ‘단원’ 수준에서 모두 포함 되었고 심동적 영역의 비중이 인지적·정의적 영역보다 상대적으로 높았지만, 각 ‘장’ 수준에서는 일부 핵심성취기준이 분명하게 드러나지 않거나 편중되어 있어 이를 교정할 필요가 있다고 분석하였다. 결론적으로 도덕과는 학습자의 실천역량 강화가 중요한 교과이므로 체계적인 내 용 전개와 실천역량 함양을 위한 핵심성취기준 중심의 학습 완결형 교과서 형태로 구성될 필요가 있다. 모든 교과에 동일한 교육과정 총론 기준을 적용하기보다 교과 맞춤형 기준을 제시해야 바람직한 교과서가 될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the demonstration unit ‘core achievement standard-based ethics textbooks’ of elementary school 5th grade within the framework of ‘the textbook completion learning system without requiring supplementary materials’ and ‘textbook reductioning of educational content by core achievement standards’ reviewed in a context of ‘2015 revised national curriculum’. Further, we tried to get implications about appropriate of ethics textbook development by looking over whether or not the demonstration unit is suitable for original role and function of ethics. As a result of the analysis, first, the demonstration unit was evaluated to expanded completion textbook equipped the function of text of textbook, reference book, workbook, but pointed out to insufficiency of educational interaction between the teacher and students, students and students. Second, though including ‘core achievement standards’ and being of great importance to psychomotor domain than cognitive domain and affective domain relatively in unit, some core achievement standards which are invisible in each chapter or focus on certain chapter should be modified. In conclusion, ethics should construct by core achievement standards-centric expended textbook for systematic developing content and cultivation of practical competency. It will be desirable textbook by suggesting customized standard according to nature of subject than applying general curriculum standard to all subject.
