스마트 건축의 경향을 반영한 디지털 디자인 교과 과정의 연구

A Study on the Curricular of Digital Design Education Reflecting the Trends of Smart Architecture

The interests and responsibility on the sustainability from the environmental pollution have increased the need of smart architecture that can minimize the load of environmental pollution by human activities. Smart architecture combined with the development of ICT technology and robotics technology is bringing about diverse conceptual and typological advancement. Moreover, it has become an extremely important trend in terms of architectural environmental responsibility, going beyond simple ideas that are symmetrical from the static. Because such trend is appearing noticeably on the skin, the study was carried out by limiting the scope to intelligent skins. The process of smart buildings applied by intelligent skins is different from existing building processes due to the kinetic factor and it shows that there are needs for new thinking of digital architecture design and teaching methods. According to this trend, major universities have opened curriculums that fusing factors of intelligent skins, but they only focus on overall digital tools and use of sensors and actuators rather than professional applications for buildings. Therefore, this paper suggests that the digital architecture design curriculum should be changed to the curriculum which fuses factors of intelligent skins to keep up times. It will be great help for the future direction of digital architecture design curriculum through this study.
