무용공연 관람확대를 위한 경쟁력 강화 방안 모색

Finding the Strengthening Plan for the Competitiveness in Dance

본 연구는 델파이 기법을 이용하여 국내 무용계 전문가들의 의견을 중심으로 무용 공연관람의 경쟁력 강화 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구의 조 사대상 전문가들은 학계의 교수 및 강사, 안무가와 무용수 10명, 공연기획자 및 평 론가 등 공연업계 전문가 10명 등 총 20명을 대상으로 3단계에 걸쳐 델파이 조사 를 실시하였다. 1차 설문 분석 결과 17개의 문항이 도출되었다. 최종 설문 결과 현 재 무용공연 관람의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 전문가들은 15개의 항목에 대해서 중요하 다는 응답을 보였다. 또한 현재 무용계의 변화 가능성에 대하여 전문가들은 7개의 항목에서 가능성이 있다는 응답을 보였다. 경쟁력 강화에 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있는 항목은 예술성 및 완성도가 높은 작품 개발과 다양한 장르의 작품 개발 및 활 발한 문화 컨텐츠 개발로 나타났는데 이는 설문 응답자 모두 가장 중요하다고 여기 고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그 다음으로 무용계의 변화 가능성에 대해서는 대중성 있는 작품 개발이 무용계의 변화 가능성이 가장 높다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 최근 무용공연 활성화에 대한 연구들이 늘어나기 시작했다. 하지만 전문가들의 의 견을 통합적으로 수렴하여 무용공연계의 경쟁력을 강화하고자 한 연구는 미미하였 기에 본 연구는 큰 의의가 있다고 할 수 있겠다.

The objective of this study is to collect the opinion of professionals, who are working in the dance industry, on the competitiveness of dance performance by using Delphi method. Following the procedure of Delphi method, three surveys were conducted for total 20 samples including 10 from dancers/choreographer and 10 from producers/reviewers. From the first survey with an open question, 17 items were collected. In the final survey, 15 out of 17 items are considered important for the strengthening competitiveness in dance performance industry. However only 7 out of 17 items are expected to be improved. Two most important items for the strengthening competitiveness are “to create artistic works with high degree of completion” and “to develop more dance works with various contents”. While the professionals think there is a high possibility in the development of popular dance works, they have low expectations to resolve the problems from high ticket prices and overissue of invitations. The contribution of this study can be found from the fact that although many researches on the dance industry have been published, studies on the collection of professionals opinion are relatively rare.
