학습자중심교육에서의 발달이 갖는 교육적 의미

본 연구는 학습자중심교육에서의 발달이 갖는 교육적 의미를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 교육에서의 학습자 인식의 중요성을 철학적 관점과 발달심리적 관점에서 고찰하였다. 철학적 관점에서 아동 발달에 대한 인식은 현대 교육의 관점에서 보면 그리 아동중심적이지 않았으며 시대에 따라 아동관이 달라져 왔다. 발달심리적 관점에서는 아동기 발달기제와 발달과업의 중요성에 대한 이해의 중요성을 확인하였다. 다음으로 교육적 의미에서의 발달의 개념을 살펴본 결과, 발달은 질서정연하게 일어나고 상당기간 동안 유지되는 변화들에만 적용되는 개념으로, 성장, 성숙, 학습의 세 과정이 상호작용할 때 이루어진다. 이를 바탕으로 인간 발달의 원리인 성장 가능성, 개인차, 최적기, 연속성, 맥락성, 통합성을 학습자의 관점에서 고찰한 결과, 학습자중심교육에서의 발달이 갖는 교육적 의미는 학습자 개별 삶의 성장, 계속적 성장의 수단, 학습에 적절한 시기적 접근, 지속적인 자기주도적 학습력, 통합적 발달의 기초, 통합적 존재로서의 학습자이다. 이는 학습자의 삶과 앎에 중점을 둔 결과로, 발달이 갖는 생물학적 심리학적 의미를 뛰어넘어 학습자중심의 교육적 방향을 제시했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to explore educational meaning that development implies in the learner-centered education. For this end||| first of all the learner s awareness of the importance of education and philosophical perspective have been investigated by the perspective of psychological development. If awareness of child development was viewed by philosophical perspective it was not very child -centered. But if awareness of child development was viewed by the perspective of psychological development the importance of childhood development mechanisms and of the understanding of development task was confirmed. Next according to the result of examining the concept of development in terms of educational meaning development as a concept that applies only to changes that is maintained for an extended period of time takes place in an orderly manner and is formed when the three processes -growth maturity learning- interact.
