초등학교 저학년 환경교육을 위한 우수환경 아동도서 활용 방안

A Study on the Utilization of Good Environmental Children´s Books for Environmental Education of Lower Grades of Elementary School

본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 시기의 효과적인 환경교육을 위하여 저학년용 우수환 경도서의 내용을 분석하여, 환경도서를 활용한 환경교육 방안을 제시하기 위한 목적 에서 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 2009 개정교육과정의 초등학교 1·2학년군 교과서 20 권과 2010∼2014년 환경부에서 선정한 저학년을 대상으로 한 우수환경도서 50권을 국가 환경교육 표준 지침을 바탕으로 환경교육 내용 영역을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 1·2학년군 교과서를 대상으로 국가 환경교육 표준 지침 내용영역 분석 결과, 총 68개 항목이 분석되었으며, 슬기로운 생활, 바른생활, 즐거운 생활 교과 순으로 내용이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 초등학교 저학년 교과에는 환경교육 내용 영역중 ‘환경현상에 대한 탐구’와 ‘환경의 구성’ 영역이 다른 영역에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 저학년용 우수환경도서를 대상으로 국가 환 경교육 표준 지침 내용 영역에 따른 학습내용 분석은 내용 영역별로 ‘환경의 구성’과 ‘환경에 대한 감수성과 배려’ 영역의 비중이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 1·2학년군 교과서 와 우수환경도서에 내재된 환경교육 내용에 대한 연계성을 분석한 결과, 우수환경도 서는 교과서의 부족한 학습내용을 채워줄 뿐만 아니라 학생들이 간접적인 환경을 체험을 하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 판단됨에 따라 교과 수업, 교과외 수업, 동아리 및 특별반 운영시 활용하는데 좋은 자료가 될 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 학교 환경교육 에 환경부에서 선정한 우수환경도서를 학교 현장에서 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the utilization of good environmental books for lower grades of elementary through the environmental education content analysis for effective environmental education in early elementary school period. In the pursuit of this purpose, 20 textbooks of 2009 revised elementary curriculum in grade 1-2, and 50 children’s books which were awarded by Ministry of Environment since 2010 were analyzed by the national standard guidelines for environmental education. On the basis of the analysis, this study tried to find how the school environmental education contents are related with environmental books. And this study suggested the utilization for using environmental books in elementary environmental education. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of analysis by the national standard guidelines for environmental education, 1-2 grade textbooks contained a total of 54 entries and ‘Wise Life’, ‘Disciplined Life’ and ‘Pleasant Life’ textbook in order have been extensively analyzed. Among the national standard guidelines for environmental education, ‘quest for environmental phenomena’ and ‘composition of the environment’ area was higher than those in other areas. Second, good environmental children’s books contain many contents on ‘composition of the environment’ and ‘sensitivity and caring for the environment’ area. Third, based on analysis of the linkages 1-2 grade textbooks and good environmental books, the books are expected to have a lot of help fill the gaps in the learning content covered in the textbook as well as indirectly experience the environment. In conclusions, the development of good environmental books is needed to enhance the effect and efficiency of elementary environmental education.
