다문화가정 아동의 한국어능력 향상을 위한 한글춤 교육프로그램 개발 및 적용 가능성 탐색

A study on the development of a Hangul dance education program to improve the Korean language proficiency of children from multi-cultural families and the possibility of its application

본 연구는 다문화가정 아동의 한국어능력 향상을 위한 한글춤 교육프로그램을 개 발하고 학교현장에 적용 가능성을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구방법은 설계기반연구방법 으로 1단계는 언어교육과 몸짓교육 그리고 한글 교육에 대한 선행연구를 바탕으로 문헌연구를 수행하였다. 2단계는 한글춤 교육프로그램은 교육방향, 교육목표, 교육 내용, 학습교재, 15차시 학습지도안을 포함한 수업진행단계로 구성하였다. 3단계는 개발된 한글춤 교육프로그램을 효율적으로 현장에 적용할 수 있도록 전신반응교수 법, 의사소통적 교수법, 과제중심적 교수법을 제시하였다. 4단계는 개발된 한글춤 교 육프로그램을 1차적으로 외국인 초등학생 23명을 대상으로 학교현장에 적용하여 활 용 가능성을 탐색하였다. 연구결과, 학생들은 자음과 모음을 평면적, 입체적으로 80%이상 신체로 표현할 수 있었고, 유연성과 평형성을 강화시킨 워밍업 훈련과 충 분한 학습시간을 제공한다면 더욱 완성도 있게 표현할 수 있을 것으로 예측된다. 따 라서 한글춤 교육프로그램은 한글과 춤(움직임)이라는 새로운 학문적 교류차원(학 제 간 연구: 언어인문학+예체능)에서 통합교육 로드맵으로 교육현장에 환류 시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a Hangul dance education in order to help the children of multi-cultural families improve their Korean language proficiency and promote its application in schools. The methodology for the study design-based research included: analyzing previous research materials on verbal language, body language, and Korean education in the first step; organizing the contents of teaching and learning for the Hangul dance education program which was designed to include direction of education, objectives of education, contents of education, studying materials, and the 15th teaching plan in the second step; presenting TPR(total physical response), CLT(communicative language teaching), and task-based language teaching to efficiently apply the Hangul dance education program to the education field in the third step; seeking the possibility of utilization by applying the Hangul dance education program to 23 forign elementary school students in the fourth step. The results of the study have revealed that the children could express more than 80%of consonants and vowels by using two or three-dimensional gestures. It is thus predicted that they can express them in more perfect ways if they are provided with flexible and balance-enhancing warm-up exercises and enough time to learn. Therefore, it is believed that the Hangul dance education program can be utilized as an integrated education road map for new academic exchanges between Hangul and dance(movement), or as an interdisciplinary research tool between humanistic linguistics and art & physical education in the education field.
