Despite its similarity to ginseng root, the ginsenosides formed on ginseng leaves are discarded without being used. And unlike ginseng roots, new applications are attracting attention because they can be harvested every year. Among the various components of ginseng leaves, G-Rg3 is industrially very useful. This is the most active ingredient in the acid hydrolysis reaction by heat treatment during the manufacturing process of red ginseng, and its various pharmacological effects have been recently revealed. Because G-Rd can be converted to G-Rg3 which is a protopan-axadiol ginsenoside, through acid hydrolysis, G-Rd which is a component of ginseng leaves is collected at the highest G-Rd content and can be used to obtain useful G-Rg3 through industrial chemical conversion. Therefore, in this study, we collected aerial part of ginseng from 10 different individuals, dried them at 70 degrees for 10 minutes, crushed one by one. And each of them placed in 10 sealed containers, added 10 ml of methanol per gram, extracted for 30 minutes using ultrasound, filtered extracted mixture with filter paper, and filtered the filtered solution with a membrane filter. The final filtered solution with a membrane filter injected in the HPLC, and analyzed using ginsenoside quantitative analysis. Ten samples of ginseng leaves were collected for three months from July to September. The highest content of ginsenosides in ginseng leaves is Rd.
