An Investigation of the Factors Affecting on the Team Based Project Learning in Engineering College

본 연구의 목적은 공과대학에서 팀 기반 프로젝트 학습 수행에 영향을 미치는 관련 요인을 탐색하고, 이를 긍정적인 요인과 부정적인 요인으로 분류하여 효과적인 팀 기반 프로젝트 학습 방안을 마련하는 것이다. 연구의 목적을 수행하기 위해 대학생을 대상으로 학습동기, 학습만족도에 대한 설문조사와 개별 인터뷰를 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과 팀 기반 프로젝트 학습에 영향을 미치는 긍정적인 요인으로는 실제적 지식과 경험을 획득하고 이를 통해 실력과 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 기회로 인식, 긍정적인 감정가지기, 팀 구성원들 간의 협력적 관계형성, 적극적인 멘토링 활동으로 나타났고, 부정적인 요인으로는 낯선 학습자와의 팀 구성, 비균등한 업무 분담과 비참여적인 팀 구성원, 프로젝트 학습 수행시간의 부족, 부정 적인 감정, 원활하지 못한 멘토링 활동으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 연구에 서는 효과적인 팀 기반 프로젝트 학습을 수행하기 위해 몇 가지 제언을 제시하였다.

This study has investigated the factors that have influenced to the Team based Project learning. The factors affecting on the learning process in the team based project learning were divided into positive and negative things. For the research objective the learning motivation and satisfaction for the university students were surveyed and had individual interviews with students twice. The results are following. In the aspect of learning motivation there was significant difference between pre and post surveyand there was also significant difference among teams on the satisfaction of the team collaboration But there was no significant difference among teams in the project learning satisfaction. The results of interview data analysis are following. Students described some positive factors that had affected on the team project learning: acquiring practical knowledge and experience and getting opportunity to improve their ability the feeling of confidence and achievement collaborative relation among team members mentoring activity. The negative factors that had affected on the team project learning were following: team making with unfamiliar students unequity role distribution unparticipated students not much time to perform the project abandonment and fear ineffective mentoring activity. Based on the results some conclusions and suggestions that are needed to come up with an effective counterplan in the team based project learning for the students were proposed.
