자유학기제 도입과 중학교 수업 개선 방안

The free semester policy and improving teaching and learning in Middle School

이 연구는 수업의 입장에서 자유학기제의 취지를 살펴본 결과, 자유학기제가 중학교 수업의 변화를 추구하고 있다는 것을 탐색했다. 그리고 중학교 교육의 정체성 관점에서 중학교 수업이 초등이나 고등학교와 어떻게 차별화하고 있는지를 중학교 운동을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 결과, 교과통합이 하나의 방안이 될 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 이에 중학교 교사에게 ‘단일 교과 축약형 수업’, ‘느슨한 형태의 교과 통합형 수업’, ‘기존의 개별 학교 모형을 정교화 정형화하는 수업’을 방안으로 제안하였다.

This study is to suggestion of instructions’ form and method during the free semester in middle school. To this aim first it is meaning of the free semester in middle school that change to instructions’ form and method. Second It inquired the nature of teaching and learning in middle level school based on middle school movement in United States. Based on both Third it suggested an alternative idea as a teaching unit of several subjects integrating. And it was suggested three. First middle school teachers have curriculum literacy and could compacting textbooks lessens. Second they could be loosly threaded several their instructions apply to Fogarty’s threaded model. And they can be intentionally implementing and designing a integrated day by one subject. Last school can develop as a self model through school based curricula elaborate and standardize.
