‘현실과 주체인식’으로서의 모더니즘시 교육방법 연구

A study on teaching methods of modernism poetry as ‘Reality and Subject Awareness’

모더니즘은 현실 비판과 이상적 지향성을 추구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 기존의 미학적 태도를 거부하고 새로운 방법과 인식의 전환을 꾀하면서 문학의 지평을 확장해 나간다. ‘비판’과 ‘이상추구’라는 양자적 축을 작품 속에 구현하고자 하는 모더니즘적 가치인식은 그대로 모더니즘시에 형상화되어 있기에, 이를 교육적 상황으로 포섭할 수 있는 필요성과 가능성에 대해 주목하였다. 또한, 비판적 거리 두기를 통한 현실 파악과 내면 탐색을 통한 주체의 현실태 파악, 대안 탐색을 통한 이상 파악은 모더니즘시만의 독자적인 교육 방법으로 기능함으로써 모더니즘의 인식적 가치의 중요성을 증대시킬 것으로 본다. 모더니즘시 교육을 통해 학생들은 현실에 대한 비판적 인식 태도를 함양하며, 나아가 모순적 현실성을 극복한 당당한 주체로서의 삶을 자발적으로 영위해 나갈 수 있는 이상적인 인간으로 성장해 갈 것으로 기대한다.

Modernism intends to pursue criticism on reality and idealistic orientation. For this purpose, it expands the horizon of literature by denying existing aesthetic attitudes and seeking new methods and a changeover of awareness. Because the modernism value awareness, which aims to realize its two axes, criticism and pursuit of an ideal , in a piece of work, is formed in modernism poetry as it is, this study focused on necessity and possibility of bringing it under educational situations. Besides, it is expected that understanding reality by keeping critical distance, grasping the subject s actuality by means of internal exploration, and searching for an ideal by seeking alternatives can function as unique and independent teaching methods of modernism poetry and, therefore, would increase the importance of modernistic value awareness. It is also anticipated that modernism poetry education would not only help students have attitudes of critical awareness toward reality but also assist them in developing into ideal humans who can lead their lives voluntarily as dignified subjective bodies overcoming contradictory reality.
