Studies on the Interspecific Hybrids of Citrus unshiu and C. junos

For the purpose of securing interspecific-hybrid Citrous plants crossing of two species, Citrus unshiu♀ and C. junos♂ was carried out and the results are summarized as follows: 1. The every seed of the treated fruit was involved one zygotic embryo and several nucellar embryos. 2. The, zygotic embryo was tinged with milk-white, while uncellar embryos were colored in light-green. 3. The mophological characteristics of the seedlings have brought up from the zygotic embryos were shown intermediate form, but thorns bearing habit much alike to their ♂ parent, C.junos, on the other hand, the seedlings of nucellar origin were divided into two forms, thornless individuals and thorn-bears, and these two sorts of plant have shown no stipule leaves just alike their ♀ parent, C. unshiu.
