Eleven open-pollinated slash pine families were inoculated with three different inoculum sources under two different fertilizer(Mn) treatments. Family difference was highly significant and inoculm × treatment and family × treatment interactions were also significant statistically. Presence of the genotype × environment interactions suggests importance of selection of slash pine families with horizontal resistance to fusiform rust.
