The genetics of two peroxidase isozyme loci (Px-A, Px-B) in Populus alba×glandulosa were studied by starch gel electrophoresis. Three alleles(Bl, B2, B3) were found at Px-B locus. But Px-A locus was found to be operating two alleles A1 and A2 by regulating two dominant alleles R/r. Data are presented demonstrating that the A1 and B3 are related to repulsion.
