‘양성평등’과 ‘일·가정 양립’ 관점에 근거한 초등 실과 검정 교과서 ‘나와 가정생활’ 단원의 분석

The Analysis of Elementary School Textbooks on Practical Arts Subject in the Perspectives of Gender Equity and Work-Family Balance: focused on ‘My life and Family life’ Units

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 실과 교과서의 ‘나와 가정생활’ 단원에 양성평등 및 일?가정양립의 가치가 어떻게 반영되어 있는지를 분석하여 향후 성평등적인 교육 과정 및 교과서 집필에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2011 실과 교육과정에 기초한 6개의 검정 교과서를 분석하였다. ‘나와 가정생활’ 단원에서 성장, 가족, 가정일, 가족원의 역할이라는 네 개의 개념을 중심으로 양성평등 및 일? 가정양립 가치의 반영 정도를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 실과 교과서의 ‘나와 가정생활’ 단원에서는 전반적으로 양성평등과 일?가정양립 가치가 제대로 반영되지 않아 보다 적극적으로 반영할 필요가 있었다. 또한, 지식의 성격 및 표현방식에 있어서 추상적이고 당위적인 표현이 많아 교과서에 이러한 가치들을 사실적으로 드러내주는 지식을 제시할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 남녀의 차이가 분명히 드러나는 ‘성장’의 개념에는 보다 적극적으로 양성평등적 가치를 반영할 필요가 있으며 ‘가족’의 모습 또한 특히 일?가정양립의 관점에서 그려질 필요가 있다. 셋째, ‘가정 일’과 ‘가족 구성원의 역할’과 관련해서는 보다 일?가정양립의 관점을 적극적으로 고려할 필요가 있으며, 지나치게 가사노동을 집중하여 다루므로 돌봄, 여가, 문화적 기능 또한 고려해야 할 측면으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study was to analyse the values of ‘gender equity’ and ‘work and family balance’ which were relected the elementary school textbooks in Practical Arts subject. By analysing especially the unit of ‘my life and family life’, the guideline for gender equitable textbook and curriculum development will be suggested. By qualitative analysis, the core concepts ‘development, family, family work, role of family member’ in 6 textbook were analysed in perspectives of ‘gender equity’ and ‘work and family balance’. The results of this study as follows. First, there’re reflected the values of ‘gender equity’ and ‘work and family balance’ in 6 textbooks insufficiently. Also, there’re needed more concrete knowledge than abstract or ‘should be’ expression on ‘gender equity’ and ‘work and family balance’. Second, the concept of ‘development’ and ‘family’ are needed to reflect the values of ‘gender equity’ actively. Third, the concept of ‘family work’ and ‘role of family members’ are needed to reflect the values of ‘work and family balance’ actively. And also, there’re needed to reflect the ‘care, leisure, and cultural aspects’ of family.
