韓牛와 샤로레 交雜에 의한 新種韓牛育成硏究 第Ⅲ報. 農家飼育 環境要因이 韓牛와 샤로레交雜種의 發育變化에 미치는 影響

Studies on developing new breed(composite) crossed between Korean native cattle and charolais Ⅲ. Environmental effects on body weight and body conformation in Korean native cattle and charolais crossbred on farm feeding

A new breeding program for developing new breed (composite-5/8 Charolais 3/5 Korean native cattle) crossed between Korean native cattle (K.N.C.) and Charolais (C) has been continued since 1978. This paper has been considered here only the environmental effects on body weight and body conformation in K.N.C. and Charolais crossbred on farm feeding. The mating system showed a highly significant effect on body weight and conformation (P＜0.01). The body weight and conformation of Charolais corssbreds were heavier and wider than those of K.N.C. at the different ages of months. The calving year had significant effect at the age of 3 and 18 months but there were no significant effects at month. The sex had a significant effect except 3 months (P＜0.01). Even though the body weight and conformation of the calves calved at summer and winter were greater than those of other calved at spring and autumn, the calving season might be considered to have no significant effect.
