메벼 “pokhareli mashino”에서 發見된 뽀얀 玄米形質의 遺傳

Inheritance of chalkiness of brown rice found in non-glutinous rice cultivar “pokhareli mashino”

Hybrids befwen a chalky-non-glutinous rice mutant(Chalky P. M.) derived from rice cultivar “Pokhareli Mashino” and 7 non-glutinous and 3 glutinous were made, and their F₁ and F₂ plants were grown. The inheritance pattern of the chalkiness and amylose contents of their seeds were studied. The segregation pattern of chalkiness of “Chalky P. M.”(12% amylose content) in the crosses with common cultivars showed monogenic recessive inheritance pattern. In the crosses between the “Chalky P. M.” and glutinous cultivars, F₁, F₂ and F₃ seeds appeared all chalky and no clear rice segregated. But, through I-Ik solution test, typical monogenic segregation pattern, with glutinous being recessive, was conformed. Amylose content of F₂ seeds showed monogenic segregation pattern, with the presence of intermediate due to dosage effects, regardless the parental amylose content high or low. In the crosses between chalky and clear cultivars, the amylose content of segregating seeds showed good coincidence with the appearance of chalkiness or clearness.
