스토리텔링 기반 음악교육 프로그램의 적용 및 효과

An Analysis of the Effect on Musical Education for Preschoolers through the Method of Story-Telling

본 연구는 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악 실기교육 프로그램의 효과를 실증적으로 분석한 것이다. 연구를 위해 먼저 음악적 심상, 연주기능 습득, 음악적 표현 등 세 단계로 구분되는 총 10차시의 스토리텔링 기반 유아음악교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 실험집단에 적용하였다. 프로그램의 효과 검증을 위해 실험집단과 별도로 비교 집단을 두고, 각 집단을 대상으로 음악 실기능력에 대한 사전검사를 실시하였다. 사전검사 결과 두 집단은 통계적으로 의미 있는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 과정에서 10차시의 수업을 통하여 각 집단별로 6차에 걸쳐 실기능력에 대한 평가를 실시하고 집단 간 차이를 비교하였다. 운지수행과 첼로 연주능력에 대한 검사 결과, 실험집단이 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 더 높은 성취를 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 스토리텔링을 활용한 운지법 교육이 유아들의 음악 실기능력 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

This study is an actual analysis of the effect on musical technique education through the method of story-telling. First of all, a 10-week musical education program for preschoolers was developed in three different stages such as musical imagination, playing technique acquisition and musical expression, which was to be applied to the experimental group. In order to verify the effect of the program, a separated comparison group was formed, and a preliminary inspection on the ability to play was carried out to the children in each group. And the result did not show any statistically meaningful differences between the two groups. In the process of the study, 10 lessons were given to each group and 6 evaluations were done to verify and compare the difference in the progress of playing technique of both groups. The result of evaluations on fingering, cello playing technique, reading ability of lyrics and notes showed statistically meaningful level of higher achievement from the experimental group. This result implied that the story-telling method in teaching fingering and note-reading to children can help them improve their basic playing techniques as well as the ability of reading lyrics and notes. Besides, it was also proven to be an effective teaching method in terms of elevating the children’s class participation, interest and sustainability in learning music.
