수업컨설팅 분석 준거에 의한 대학 수업 사례 분석 결과 및 개선 방안 탐색

Analysis of Instruction in Higher Education According to Instructional Consultation Criteria and Suggestions of the strategies of improvement of instruction

본 연구는 사례 연구의 일환으로서, 대학 수업의 교수자가 실제 수업에서 구사하 는 다양한 수업 행동과 전략들을 학습자의 관점에서 분석한 후, 그 개선 방안을 탐 색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, ‘수업컨설팅’에서 일반적으로 채택하고 있는 분석 준거 들--교수자의 수업 행동, 수업진행 및 구성 측면, 수업에서의 질의응답 활동, 수업매 체와 자료 활용 측면에서의 효과성?에 의거하여, 지방 소재 A대학의 11개 실제 수 업을 녹화한 동영상 자료 및 관련 수업 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, ‘수업행동’에서 는 일부 교수자들의 경우 동선 및 공간 활용과, 시선의 사각지대 등에서 학습을 저 해하는 행동들이 관찰되었다. 또한, ‘강의 진행 및 구성’ 측면에서도 교수자가 많은 내용을 가르치기 위해서 ‘숨 돌릴 여유 없이,’ 교수자가 설정한 ‘진도’를 나가는 현상 등이 관찰되었다. 질의응답과 같은 상호작용 측면에서는 전반적으로 교수자의 일방 향적인 설명 위주로 수업이 진행되고 있었고, 대다수의 참여하지 않은 학생들은 대 형강의에서 방관자의 입장에 있었다. 마지막으로, 교육매체 활용 측면에서는 참여교 수들이 전반적으로 우수하였는데, 대개의 경우, PPT와 판서, 그림, 교재보다 더 쉬 운 강의자료 등을 활용해서 학생들이 쉽게 이해를 할 수 있도록 노력하고 있었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로, 본 연구에서는 수업행동, 강의진행 및 구성, 상호작용 등의 측면에서 수업의 개선 방안과 전략들을 제안하였고, 관련 후속 연구 활성화를 위한 제언을 도출하였다.

As part of case studies, the purpose of this research was to analyze real instructions in higher education according to instructional consultation criteria and investigate some useful strategies to improve such instructions. Especially, this study emphasized learners’ perspectives towards instruction and focused on the appropriateness of instructors’ behaviors, teaching styles and activities in classroom in terms of learning facilitation. Thus, eleven instructions of university A located in the local area, participated in instructional consultation in 2013 and 2014 were analyzed for the study. In detail, this study collected and analyzed various data such as video-tapings of these classes, instructor’s self-feedback sheets, students feedback data, and observation sheets. As a result, the professors showed some teaching behaviors, teaching styles and the use of instructional media and materials obstructive to their student’s learning effectiveness. Therefore, based on the result of the analysis, this study suggested the professors to correct their inappropriate teaching behaviors and apply new and more effective strategies and then improve their teaching styles to facilitate students learning. The results of this study is anticipated to help instructional consultation program be more effective for providing with professors reflections on their teaching and learning.
